A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience – Twice!
I stumbled upon Globo Restaurant while looking for a place to eat during a weekend trip to Nuremberg. The reviews were glowing, so I decided to walk in without a booking — and I’m so glad I did.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Sarah, the host, was incredibly accommodating and somehow found me a seat despite the place being packed. I was dining solo, but never once felt alone. I ordered the steak and eggplant, and everything — from the perfectly cooked steak to the incredible bread — was just fantastic.
Sarah’s friendliness really stood out. She remembered my name, took time to chat even in the middle of a busy evening, and made the experience feel truly personal. I was so impressed that I immediately booked myself in for dinner the next night.
When I returned the following evening, earlier than my reservation, Sarah again found me a seat — this time outside to enjoy the warmer weather. I wasn’t in the mood for alcohol, so she whipped up a special mocktail just for me — it was refreshing and delicious.
During our conversation, I mentioned wanting to try white asparagus but hadn’t had the chance yet. Incredibly, Sarah and the chef went into the kitchen and put together a special meal featuring it — just for me. I believe it was a preview of their upcoming menu, and I felt incredibly lucky to try it.
This level of care and attentiveness is rare. The food was outstanding, but it was the warmth, hospitality, and personal touches that made Globo a highlight of my trip. I can’t recommend it enough — and I’ll definitely be returning when I’m next...
Read moreTerrible service, had to wait half an hour to be able to order as nobody that walked past ever looked over our table. We had to get up and walk to the counter in order to get somebody's attention, the restaurant owner was just sitting there across from us with a table of what seemed to be the VIP guests of the evening. He should have noticed we weren't being served and said something to the floor staff, he obviously was too busy entertaining rather than running his business.
To add salt to the wound they also stuffed up my order, I ordered an entrecôte steak with a size of asparagus, and I was served an entree size meal (which happened to carry the same name on the menu) the waiter should have ensured of which one of the two I was referring to. There was hardly any meat in it and the small piece that was there was rather overcooked and had gone hard. I must admit the pistachio risotto that accompanied the steak was really nice. It was pretty expensive for what it was, we were lured in by the good reviews but our experience was everything but.
The owner should lift his game up and actually focus on providing good service and good food rather than enjoying himself.

Read moreWe stumbled in from the Christkindlmarkt looking for something substantial to eat and my God did we find it. I am not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had in my life (and I pride myself on being a foodie). I had the ravioli with truffle cream, salmon filet, fresh truffles and radicchio. Everything was paired perfectly. The flavors were in absolute harmony. Each part of the dish was extremely well executed. I also want to give praise to our server who was kind enough to let us in a bit before opening and have drinks. Even the bread, which came with pumpkin and paprika was done in such a way that I will never forget it. I’m including a bad photo of my half eaten meal because I didn’t get a picture when it was first played and beautiful, but the colors on the plate were stunning as well. This was a full sensory experience. I genuinely mean it. Incredible food. Wonderful service. Great atmosphere. Don’t...
