Irish Castle Pub is an inviting, cozy pub, just like a true Irish pub should feel like. It's a perfect place to meet new people or relax alone with a glass of whiskey. There's live music from musicians who go with the atmosphere. The food is delicious, Irish Stew is definitely my favourite, with pieces of lamb that are so soft and a touch of something a bit almost spicy. There's a huge variety of drinks you can have with or after food. Top quality beers, smoothest tequilas and whiskey for any taste. Upsetting experience. I was alone and walked in for one drink. I would have stayed for 15-20 minutes, but the guy wouldn't serve me because I hadn't reserved. Ok, it was Halloween and they might have had reservations from 8pm. Fair enough, but there were empty stools at the bar and I would have been gone by 8pm because I had a flight to catch! Sehr schönes Pub, ich war bis jetzt allerdings nur einmal dort. Wird mal wieder Zeit auf ein paar Kilkennys vorbei zu kommen. Der Pub befindet sich im Keller und ist ganz nach Pub-Manier recht rustikal eingerichtet. Das Bier ist in Pubs generell etwas teurer, wird ja aber auch extra importiert. Gegessen habe ich im Irish Castle noch nichts - dafür aber eine Menge getrunken. Die Whisky Karte ist die bisher längste die ich in einem Pub gesehen habe. Über Single Malt Scotch (natürlich nach Regionen sortiert) über Irish-Whisky und meiner Erinnerung nach auch Internationaler Whiskys war wirklich eine ganze Menge dabei. Es werden sogar Whisky-Tastings angeboten - mehr dazu findet ihr auf der Website. Ich habe vor an einem solchen auch teilzunehmen. Anscheinend wird auch regelmäßig für Abendunterhaltung gesorgt. Ich war mit Freunden an einem Samstag da - Karaokenacht. War wirklich klasse, hat super spaß gemacht und es war wirklich ein gelungener Abend.
