La Lucha Taqueria Cantina Nbg Nord — Restaurant in Nuremberg

WORST dining experience in Nürnberg so far !!!!! Me, my wife and my daughter had dinner here. We arrived at 18:10 and the place wasn't very crowded. We ordered within ten minutes and everything seemed fine. We mentioned our 3 year old was quite hungry so asked if her order(off the children's menu, 2 tacos and some chicken) could come first and soon. The waitress said sure. 30 mins later, no food had come out so I asked again. She said the kitchen is backed up. I repeated if they could please just send out my daughter's order and she said will ask. 30 more mins later I had enough and said I'm leaving. Then she said it will be out in 2 mins. 5 mins later the food arrived. But only mine and my daughters. What my wife had ordered was not available. It took them one hour after taking the order to realise they don't have it!!! The waitress said they won't be charging us due to all this. We ate as soon as we could and I asked again is it not charged. She first said yes but then another person behind her said something to her. Turns out only the drinks were complimentary. I said whatever let me just pay and leave this place. I payed 27 euros and walked out only to then realise that was too much. I walked back in and asked her again why it was 27 and she said oh sorry because the drinks weren't complimentary and they charged it. I asked why when you just told me they were complimentary. No answer. She then asks do you want it. I said yes and got the drinks charge in cash. Food was actually decent , not fantastic but not bad. But everything else is a trainwreck. I understand kitchens can get backed up but at least have the courtesy to communicate this especially when a hungry 3 year old is waiting for her food. Absolutely do...

BEST TACOS IN GERMANY.

I am from Mexico and i can truly say that these are the most authentic and delicious tacos i have tried abroad. The menu has several fillings to choose from which allowed myself to remember my country in a great culinary experience.

I found out that you can even buy from the online store some taco-kits to take home which are meat options from the actual menu at the restuarant. I ll definetly order some later to satisfy the craving...

The icing of the cake of my visit was the splendind service i received from the staff at the restaurant. From the beginning while arriving at the place, i was kindly greeted by the main waiter and he always showed big effort in making me and my party feel like home. He is from Mexico too, so he will make sure you understand each recepie and will guide you to choose the best for you.

My recommendations are the Barbacoa, Cochinita, Pastor and Jamaica flower!

If you are around Nuremberg this is a must visit. I am really pleased and hope i have the chance to come back soon!

Authentic mexican food ❤️.

One of my hobbies is trying the food in mexican restaurants abroad, even more if they're specialized in tacos. In my not so humble opinion, "La Lucha" is by far the best I've ever tried in all the countries I've been to. Special mention to tacos carnitas (when available), tacos barbacoa, and tostadas pollo 😊. The only "not mexican" thing there is the beer, which is German (ofc they also have mexican beer), but... Why not having the best food on Earth + the best beer on Earth? ❤️ Also, if wanting to be closer to mexican culture without drinking alcohol, I'd highly recommend aguas frescas (specially Jamaica).

Service MIGHT get to be slow in peak hours, but believe me: every single minute is worthy, as you'll feel like visiting Mexico in every single bite.

Do not forget to ask for mezcal (Or Tequila). The variety of food and drinks is quite nice, and prices are fair.

PS: the margaritas they sell there are THE BEST...
