NORI Potsdam — Restaurant in Potsdam

We used to love going to Nori - not anymore. I reached out to them privately and told them of our bad experience, but received no response. They were so busy fulfilling take-away orders during our visit, that they were not able to tend to their in-house guests. We waited almost an hour for our food. We were a table of three and there was only one other table of three at the time. The food has gone downhill (new ownership) and is no longer fresh and made with care. Being one of the highest rated vegan places in potsdam, we gave it a try. A let down when they offered us the "fish" menu alongside the vegan one so clearly widening their choices for profit making rather than being a vegan establishment. Their staff were taking the tables inside to play with their phones and do paperwork so we had to sit outside. Baby chair was left outside gathering dirt and they didn't bother offering or cleaning even though we clearly had a child. Food was fine, not the best not the worst. They charge for tap water!! I would have given it 4.75, because it was missing just a tiny bit to the perfect rating. The lemonades were delicious, fresh, not too sweet, not to sour. Gyoza- perfection, delicate filling, golden and crispy. The sushi was good. Fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked rice, good amount of topping, ginger and wasabi. And it was just good. Very close to being excellent, but significantly missing something. Something special, to make the meal memorable and interesting. Did I enjoy it? Yes, a lot. Will I come back?...
