Unfortunately I cannot comment on the food as we did not get to eat. When we arrived at Netzer we were greeted by nice, friendly staff who informed us we would need to wait around 30 minutes as we did not have a reservation to which we replied 'no problem!'. We waited around 40 mins and during that time 2 gentlemen arrived and were seated by the waiter (in a friendly manner by tugging on his sleeve, presumably friends of his). The waitress then told us that we will get a table soon as the high tables are all they have for walk ins and the others are for reservations (coincidence the 2 guys got seated and then she explained! maybe they did have a reservation and it is actually a coincidence that they knew the waiter hhhmmmmm!)
We continued to wait as it didn't bother us and we had time. At this point there were 2 more groups behind us 3 + 2. A nice blond waitress then approached us and said our table was ready. We were brought to bench that had a 'foot stool' as a table, cool for coffee but not to eat a meal off. The 'table' was also located beside the toilet. At the same time the high the people at the high table were leaving and we ask the waitress to be seated at the high table (which is what we were told earlier). The waitress returned and said sorry you cannot have it so we insisted and she went to ask again and returned with the same answer.
We wasted 40 mins of our time to wait for a table and then offered a 'foot stool' in the corner. We decided not to stay and when leaving the original waitress apologized and was clearly embarrassed by the situation as it was clearly not her fault but rather the managers, who gave the table to someone else.
From the comments I have read, the manager/owner needs to work on customer relations and service. We will not...
Read moreI did not eat there - this post is around their customer service not the food. I reached the restaurant at 11:40am & spent about 10 min driving around the block searching for a parking, took me about 6 rounds till I found a spot. Reached the restaurant at 11:50 & was told I had 10 min to place a breakfast order before the kitchen stops serving breakfast & starts with lunch. I asked the lady taking my order if I could use the toilet quickly & come back, though disgruntled she nodded her head. After quickly using the restroom & coming back to place my order, it’s now 11:58 I have 2 minutes left till 12:00, they refuse to accept my order & tell me that they can only serve lunch at this time. I was astonished at this ridiculous attitude, they knew i spent 10 min trying to find a parking, I then agreed with the waitress to quickly use the restroom before placing at order before the 12pm self imposed cutoff time that the kitchen switches from breakfast to lunch. When I told the manager there that this restaurant isn’t a bank & they can still accept my order it’s not yet 12:00, he laughed & said sorry rules are rules. Of course attitude like this is unacceptable & doesn’t deserve my money. I was reluctant to write this review, but after seeing some of the other poor reviews written & how the restaurant Owner replies I decided that it’s important that I post this. I would suggest that he becomes more humble and remembers that without customers he cannot survive & that having come out of the lockdown in corona should be a reminder to how fragile his industry is. This restaurant came recommended from a local friend in Stuttgart, it’s a shame I didn’t get to enjoy it because of the poor approach to customer service this...
Read moreNetzer is a charming restaurant that truly embodies the essence of cozy dining. Upon entering, you're greeted by a warm atmosphere that invites you to sit back and relax. The decor is delightful, featuring paintings that add character and charm to the space. Each piece seems to tell a story, making it a pleasant backdrop for your meal. The service, while polite, tends to maintain a bit of distance. It's as if the staff has perfected the art of being present without being overly engaging. This may appeal to those who prefer a more laid-back dining experience, but if you're looking for a personal touch, you might find yourself wishing for a bit more interaction. When it comes to the coffee, it's comfortably German average-strong enough to get you going but not particularly memorable. It serves its purpose well, much like the rest of the menu, which offers decent options without any major surprises. Overall, Netzer is a cozy spot that combines a welcoming atmosphere with interesting art and solid food. While the service may feel a bit distant at times, it provides a relaxed environment perfect for unwinding. If you're in the mood for a laid-back meal in a pleasant setting, Netzer is...
