Before my visit to Germany, I had no idea about Swabian cuisine. Everyone always talks about pork knuckle, pretzels, and beer. Oh, and of course, sausage (with over 1500 varieties). I was thrilled to discover this hidden gem in the neighborhood.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I was unsure about the sauce accompanying the schnitzel, so I asked the waitress. She wasn’t sure of the English name either and went back to Google it for me. That’s a nice touch. Yes, it was indeed cranberry sauce. Usually, I’m not a fan of cranberry sauce, but I loved how it complemented the veal.

The soup was interesting, featuring Swabian ravioli. The fillings of the ravioli had great flavors. In the USA, a lot of the time, ravioli is just too doughy and not enough filling.

Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to venture a bit further away from the...

By chance we started our trip here and after the meal made reservations to close it out after tasting schnitzel throughout the Moselle and Alsace regions for 1.5 weeks. This by far is the best we found!! The sample plate is a great way to taste a little of all the regional favorites. The atmosphere is great, packed with lots of people every night having a great time with family/friends over an amazing meal. Mattias is in his element as the main host who has never met a stranger. He’s very attentive making sure you have everything you need, and you are enjoying everything. He remembered us from our first dinner and set a special table for us to wrap up our birthday trip!!! I would hands down recommend this place to anyone coming to Stuttgart!! And if you must, pass on the bier to make sure you have room...

Oh boy. I am hesitant to write this, I want to keep this spot all for myself, but wow what a great place. Staff was very friendly, accommodating, and patient with us not speaking German. The food was well made and plentiful. We had the Beef broth with ravioli, Roasted Beef with Spatzle, Schnitzel with mushroom sauce and Walnut ice cream. Beef with onion gravy was rich and the beef was prepared perfectly, the breading on the schnitzel was crisp and the mushroom sauce was extremely flavorful. The walnut ice cream was creamy and loaded with...
