Tried African food for the first time and was quite pleasantly surprised. Most of the main courses are served with, and on, an injera, which was a new experience.
For starters, we had the Injera Merek, which was a really sour but slightly spicy soup with injera cut up in it. It had good flavours of spice and soundness from the tamarind. We also tried the Sambusa Veggie, which was basically a vegetable samosa, and it also tasted decent.
For the main course, we tried the Doro Wot - a single piece of chicken and a boiled egg served on a thick sauce on an injera base, along with salad. We also tried their famous vegetable platter and Inguday Tibs, which was basically a sauteed mushroom dish.
Desserts were definitely a great way to end the day, with their hot brownie with ice cream and fried banana with honey and cinnamon being a much loved end to a very delicious meal.
Overall, it was quite a pleasant experience, and the service was also very good with a very friendly and enthusiasm attendant catering to all our needs. Definitely worth a visit next...

Read moreWe went there on a Saturday evening around 8:30. It was two of us and we ordered food and it took around 35 minutes for the food to arrive. One of us ordered a vegetarian(all in one) dish and it costed 20,50âŹ. But it had only three items. The restaurant should have informed us that they ran out of food , we would have ordered something else but they were too greedy and we had to pay in full for an incomplete dish. Also the chicken dish that we ordered was too salty and I did only finish half of it. We ordered still water for two people and they served not from a sealed bottle but tap water(which costed 5,75âŹ) . I just fell like I was robbed....
