Konzil — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Konstanz

The service from the waiters was extremely great....The food wasn't bad...I have had better!!...But the entrances greetings from the Boss was horrible...I needed desperately to use the toilet...I made it known to him we was going to eat at his restaurant...He ignores me and told me to go use the public restroom....I decided otherwise and walked away from his nonsense to use the toilet!!..And trust me..It wasn't even clean...🥴 Much later after eating with friends at that restaurant,Konzil..He the boss refused to apologize to us of his bad behavior....

He was rude and unconsiderate of his actions after we asked him to address the situation and say sorry...He told my friend after I had gone to use the restroom while he had sat them at our table...'You don't just walk into some one's home to use their toilet'...For Christ sake...This is a public restaurant... Down at a lake?!...

And I as a black person felt he was racist towards me... I will never go back to this Konzil restaurant to eat as long this racist guy servers to a table... He is disgusting ,rude and not fit to be up front greeting costumers as a boss?.. I feel sorry for the workers who have to take commands...

Very popular place for drinks and food in Konstanz. Near Port and train station of Konstanz, with nice view to the Bodensee (Lake). Friendly staff but I have to wait for the food very long as well for my desert. First I come in, no one want to give my proper service or menu card, That is a minus. Need waiting some minutes more, before someone came. It wasn‘t crowded at that time. Total stay just waiting for food and desert total 40 min. Lunch only take 20 min. Another minus here.

Food the steak was good but desert the creme brulee was ok, nothing special as I excepted for the price. They mixed up my desert first Apfelstrudel instead of Creme Brulee. I would rather choose another desert at that time or not desert at all.

For a better service and better quality of food value of the money, I prefer another location in Konstanz. Konstanzer Wirtshaus for example. Good food and value of money. No long...

During a trip through Germany, we stopped by the Konzil for a Lunch. We had previous, good experience with the Restaurant. However this time it went pretty bad due to major failures with the food. First; the mussel had been serviced in a cast iron pot which the pot was not heated, means the mussel cooled down within a few minutes leave them uneatable. Our ask for re-heating took 30 minutes and several times reminding staff until we got them back barely warm. Secondly: the Veal Goulash was only partly veal but half beef, which was hard, chewy and of poor quality. If I ask (and Pay) for Veal but get beef - sorry, that's in my eyes Fraud! Overall, all dishes had been made of rather low quality ingredients while spending over 150 Euros. We left very unhappy and we...
