My partner, Martina invited me to this restaurant for dinner on Sunday, July 24, 2022. We are visitors in Germany from Naples, Florida, USA. After we had our dinner, my partner asked for the check. The total bill was Euro 42. She handed the Server a Euro 500 note. He came back a minute later to say, the owner will not accept the note. Both my partner and I had left our wallet and credit cards at the hotel. We had Euro 30, which we then presented to the owner and told her we would go to the hotel, which was nearby and bring her the balance Euro 12 within a few minutes. The owner refused and insisted my partner leave her necklace at the restaurant as a guarantee we would be back and pay the balance Euro 12. In frustration, my partner took her necklace and gave it to the owner as a guarantee. A few minutes later we walked to the hotel, took our wallet and went back to pay the owner the remaining Euro 12 which we owed her. The owner/Co owner of the restaurant which been named “Best Friend”, is anything but a friend. She was rude, insulting and devoid of any courtesy towards her customer. It was an insult to watch her behaviour in public.Shame on her and the establishment which she represents. All this unnecessary scene for a mere 12 Euro? Is this how the owners of “Best Friend” restaurant in Wuersburg intend to gain customer confidence? Again, shame...
Read moreWhen you order food for share - they don't provide plates. You need to grab sushi or maki (roll) and it may accidentally fall on the table directly because shared plate is in the centre of the table and you don't have a plate of your own.
Waitress brought 2 bottles of soy sauce with no description, no explanation. One appeared sweet (?) , another one - usual one, salty.
Rice, they use for the sushi, is not the Japanese one. It is just some usual, round rice.
I don't advice to any sushi lovers, sushi experts to go there.
It is not a place for "let's go eat some sushi". It is a place for "let's go eat something".
Kitchen is in the hall where people sit and eat. Place smells strong taste of vinegar when they cook hot dishes.
Staff talk loud between each other. Loud music. Loud guests. Door to the street is opened which brings street noise in. All these makes this place noisy.
It is dinery more than a restaurant or a cafe.
I will never go there again and I don't advise anyone to go there...
Read moreWe went in and were seated and given menues. Quite quickly we were asked for drink orders and I asked if we could order food now too. The waiter indicated someone else would come for a food order, and our drinks came quickly. We waited another 25 mins to place a food order and after 30 mins more and watching others who came after us order and receive food, we asked for our bill. I said to the waiter at that time that as we didn’t receive food we only wanted to pay for drinks. He told us he had ordered food and shrugged. I gestured across our table and asked where it was? I advise foreigners to avoid this place. Oddly unfriendly to foreigners. My friend is 91 and I am a companion. We aren’t troublesome and neither of us have been refused service in our...
