My German husband and I tried to eat here twice. Once in the evening and once for lunch. When we asked for a table for two in the evening, a small, older gentleman told us that they were full and turned us away. It was disappointing because they clearly had tables open but we assumed they were reserved. Today, still hungry for a pizza, we went back. The same man told us again that they were full. My husband looked around the restaurant and saw that only one table had customers and pointed this out to the man. He told us all the tables were reserved. We found this hard to believe since it was only s little past noon and almost every other restaurant was empty as well. It was clear that he didn’t like something about us and was turning us away for another reason. Reading other reviews now I’m glad we didn’t eat there as the pizzas seem to be just as disappointing as the...
Read moreThis Italian restaurant is at the bottom of the hill from the castle and is set in the oldest building in Wernigerode. I would advise making a reservation here, it’s busy! People with prams or those less mobile might find it a little difficult in here, steep wooden steps up the the first floor seating. There was a nice but busy atmosphere with very friendly staff. Food ordered was nice but not fantastic. The salmon was lovely but the potatoes were a bit oily and didn’t taste fresh, the vegetables were nice but a little cold. The pizzas were nice but incredibly difficult to cut with a knife and fork, pizza cutters are definitely needed in here! The dough was tough and crispy at the edges but undercooked in the middle. Still all the...

Wir hatten bestellt: Die Muschelpizza. War okay.
Pizza diabolo.
Spagetti Carbonara. Waren eigentlich Spagetti in Sahnesauce.
