As the name would imply, the place has a fun scotch theme with lots of well displayed bottles around the wall. One of the more impressive menus of schnitzel with about 10 different sauces that you could put on one, two, or (if you're really hungry) three piece of schnitzel. The fries and salad that came with the schitzel were pretty good too. While I kinda just wanted the mushroom sauce I decided to go with one of the schnitzel sauces that I had not seen anywhere else - the lime masala. It was a nicely balanced sauce. The schnitzel had a nice light breading and was one of the best of tried in Wiesbaden so far. The local Bierstadter Gold Helles was also very good. My one complaint was that the service was particularly slow the night that we went but I am told it was not always like that.

It’s a pub yet they offered quite a range of different schnitzels which I was craving. I chose 2 pieces of pork (you can choose chicken and it apparently comes in one big piece) with mushroom sauce and roasted potatoes. It was very good. I also had half a liter of Bavarian Paulana beer. Our server was also very accommodating and was patient in answering all our questions. Wish I knew her name so I could compliment her here. Her English was impeccable!! Addendum: went back yesterday (8/16) and found out the name of the helpful lady: Yasemin. Thank you Yasemin for impeccable service!!

Stayed in Wiesbaden as a base with friends for euro 2024, we researched before going and found out it was a Scottish owner, so went along first day we arrived in the city to see what it was like before maybe trying out other places… absolutely no need, the owner Gordon and his family and staff welcomed us there with open arms and we ended up spending most evenings there relaxing, having some drinks and food, and also talking to Gordon when things died down later in the night, would very highly recommend and one of the reasons I would love to come back to the city too

My go-to in Wiesbaden for casual dining and social drinking. Food is reliably good, with their many varieties of schnitzel being some of my favorite in the city. Exceptionally responsive and friendly service. The crew there do a great job of making you feel welcome. It's definitely a local haunt for English speaking patrons. That may be good or bad, depending on the person. If you visit more than a couple times you'll start recognizing several faces.

The owner and staff do a great job of facilitating conversation between guests at the bar, and you end up getting to know people pretty well over time. If you're ever missing a plus one and want to go out, this is a great spot. You'll probably make a few acquaintances before the night is over.

Beer selection is similar to that of other joints in the area, but their whiskey selection is second to none in Wiesbaden. As a bourbon drinker it was about the only place in the city I could go for a proper drink.

It's a must visit for anyone hailing from the Anglosphere, and I highly recommend it for...

A hang-out for English-speaking visitors and expats alike (including the Americans from the barracks outside town). The walls are full of whiskey bottles and their cartons and they do have a few to drink, too! Not too many beers on tap but enough (and even some oddities, like banana beer, which I wouldn't recommend unless you have a strong constitution!). The food menu is good, with the schnitzel section particularly intriguing: choose how many schnitzels you want (1, 2 or 3 or chicken) -they are normal size, so 1-2 will do depending on your appetite and then whatever sauce you want from the sublime (Jäger - wild mushrooms) to the ridiculous (Hawaiian - you, you guessed it: with pineapple!) and everything in-between! It was a very good schnitzel, to be fair, with chips and side salad. Sit outside and watch the world go by, or at the bar, inside and have a chat (and say hi to the bar cat!). Service is good, but they catch them on a bad day -like with us all- and things might...

This is my second visit. My first visit included lunch and it was quite good. This time I had already had dinner so it was just drinks. The first Old Fashion I ordered was great.Once finished, I waited 10-15min for the waitress to ask if I'd like another. Of course I would. Almost 20min later she came by the table again and I told her I still had not received my drink. It wasn't so busy and there were three people waiting tables. About 10min later she brought out something that was supposed to be an Old Fashion. It was obviously a different bartender. This one was so sweet and had the rim coated with what I hope was just a sweet syrup and not a dirty class. After two tastes I sent it back. The second waitress was more than helpful and apologized although I told her it wasn't her fault. The next one brought out was watered down with so much bitters that I couldn't taste the bourbon. I was...
