If you want to eat really tasty schnitzels, the Bodefelder Schnitzel Stube is highly recommended. This is the place to be and enjoy yourself among the 'locals'. The meat of the schnitzel is tender, juicy and fresh. The sauces are deliciously flavored. You can also opt for a 600 gram version, but the normal version is already quite a challenge. Add to that fine wine and a delicious German beer and your evening can't go wrong. Are you with a larger group, or with a small child? Also step inside! They neatly arrange the table for you. Great german restaurant/cafe. A lot of locals are sitting in the cafe part when there is soccer playing. The waiters are really nice. And the food is even better. They have several options of meat. We all choose the schnitzels except one that choose vegetarian flammenkuchen. The schnitzel were in different sizes and the xxl version was really big. Gemütliche location mit Kneipen, oder eher Gasthaushauscharakter, urig -modern eingerichtet. Wir haben uns dort jedenfalls auf Anhieb sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr netter Wirt, toller schneller und aufmerksamer Service ( auch für den Hund, mit leckerchen ). Uns haben unsere Schnitzel sehr gut geschmeckt, die Portionen sind sehr groß, und das Preis -Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Alles ist sauber und ordentlich. Für Menschen die auf einen Rollstuhl oder ähnliches angewiesen sind könnte es allerdings probleme geben,, da keine Barrierefreiheit angeboten werden kann. Es geht ein paar Treppenstufen rauf zum Eingang, und die sehr sauberen Toiletten sind auch über eine Treppe, die aber abwärts, zu erreichen. Geparkt haben wir kostenlos auf dem Park & Rail Parkplatz gleich neben dem Winterberger Bahnhof, von da aus war das Restaurant und die Winterberger Innenstadt gut Fußläufig in ca 5 Minuten zu erreichen.
