So disappointed by our meal at Ionio in Lassi tonight and the rubbish hospitality. I’m of Greek origin and go to greece every year. I’ve never experienced such a horrible ‘don’t care attitude’ here before. . My family ordered chicken souvlaki which was fine and - as I’m pescatarian - I ordered ‘fillet of sole.’ The fish that came was a battered fish which was so disgustingly mushy and processed, it was like baby food. No way was this a sole. We sent it back as it was inedible and they waitress asked if I’d like to order something else. Knowing my family already had their food, I just ordered a starter and chips so we didnt have to wait. No apology no ‘it’s on us’. By the time mine arrived they had finished their food and I ate alone. It wasn’t really a meal or a nice experience.. When we went to pay they had charged for the fish. We questioned it and the owner said (in Greek) ‘Enough already complaining about the fish - ok so it was one bad fish, who cares. So have your money back and stop moaning.’ I was appalled - this is not the Greece I know and love or how we should be treated. So many restaurants go out of their way to deliver true Greek hospitality , we should be supporting them. Would now not recommend...

For starters we had Halloumi, Calamari and Sautéed Mushrooms.
Starting off with the Calamari, underdone batter and overdone squid. Made a for bland pale looking dish. Even lemon or garlic sauce couldn't save it.
Sautéed Garlic Mushrooms, no garlic taste, also quite underdone and tasteless.
The Halloumi however was good. Although I doubth the chef made that. That and the setting is why it gets 2/5.
Onto the mains. I got seafood risotto and as soon as it came out I knew I made a terrible mistake. As I took the shell off every prawn black dirty like tap water fell out from the prawn heads, yes in every single prawn. I've never seen anything like this, it was disgusting, that to go along with all the crunchy veg which made for a bad texture of soft rice and crunchy veg it just wasn't good.
I came here as it had similar reviews to Oskars, but it isn't even close to the quality...
Read moreSome ups and downs really , a small menu is encouraging as suggests it attention to detail and quality and indeed my rabbit main was good , my wife wasn't very impressed with her moussaka which seemed to be mostly potato and the lamb in it almost untraceable. The taramasata was good but the calamari was really inexcusable, flabby, soggy, batter coated rubber bands and clearly bought in pre-battered and frozen it was completely indeible . There is really no excuse for that when it takes seconds to dredge squid with seasoned flour yourself and all the restaurants around you do it well The waitress noticed we had not touched it and did not charge us for it which was astute - I also got the impression it wasn't her first refund for this menu...
