Costa d'Oro Restaurant — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

We dined at Costa d'oro last week, we had a manouri salad, the platter of spreads and the beef tataki for starters, which were all delicious. We also ordered the handmade bread that came fresh from the oven and was absolutely amazing! The main courses were the moussaka, the rib eye and the stuffed chicken breast with tagliatelle. The portions were quite generous, the rib eye was tender and so was the chicken. All very tasty and well executed dishes. Overall a great take on Mediterranean cuisine. We went here on the night we stopped in Argostoli, we found it by chance really but so glad we did, we toured the island and stayed at a few places for our honeymoon as we love Kefalonia, the food and views of this restaurant are just wonderful which were on the water side , and the service was excellent too. LUGLIO 2025 Ristorante di qualità sul porto di Argostoli, location davvero suggestiva. Ambiente curato nei minimi dettagli, piatti davvero deliziosi e curati negli abbinamenti di sapori e odori. Consigliatissimo. Prezzi alti solo se confrontati con la media di Cefalonia, ma assolutamente alla portata della media europea (il Piatto più costoso nel menù è di 49€, ma si tratta di carni pregiate tipo aragosta o simili). personale di sala molto gentile e cortese, unica nota di demerito per l’hostess di sala. Preciso che eravamo di ritorno da mare, non alloggiando ad Argostoli ma da tutt’altra parte nell’isola eravamo in tenuta da mare, pur sempre composta ma certo non eravamo in abito da sera. L’hostess di sala ci ha chiesto, anche in modo piuttosto anticipatico, se volessimo visionare il menu prima di accomodarsi, ha insistito perché, cito testualmente, “a volte la gente ci confonde con altri posti”, insomma evidentemente per il nostro outfit non dovevamo avere secondo lei un portafoglio all’altezza del locale……..bhe, che dire.. per quanto sia un ristorante che si distingue dalla media delle taverne greche, comunque dovrebbero tener conto che sono pur sempre in una località turistica di mare... il personale che ci ha servito ha comunque compensato l’antipatia dell’hostess. 135€ in due per due antipasti e due portate principali….
