I went with super expectations given the reviews. Behold for the massive disappointment, not sure where to start. I ordered the OG burger and coleslaw salad. The Burger: -Buns are SUPER sweet -The patties are waaay to fatty, I understand the you need high ratio of fat to creat the crisp of the smash patty but this one way way to much, to the point I wasn’t able to taste the meat as everything that rolls in your mouth is the fat. Also they are under salted as you need the salt to cut through the fat. -The sauce was good but it was a lot and over powered the sandwich, it feels like it’s a lot due to the over overkill of the fat in the patty. My recommendation is to lower the fat content and maintain the sauce amount and finding better less sweet buns.
The Coleslaw: The salad was 3 something euro as a side and you would imagine that it will be a great one for the price, WRONG it was a disgrace to coleslaw, the cabbage to carrot ratio is totally off, the sauce is watery and the cabbage has been chopped by a blind person using a hammer, just MASSIVE chunks of cabbage instead of finely shaved cabbage using a mandoline or a pro machine to shredded it (pleas half the carrots amount) as the cabbage is chunky the sauce can’t penetrate hence it feels like you are chewing raw cabbage. The service and the cook: I ordered to eat in and I was sitting on the bar (which is between the kitchen and the street, once my sandwich was fine right next to me it was taken to the other side of the place and I was asked to go and pick it up my self while I was sitting right next to them. The saw the cook opening a new pack of bacon and grabbing the raw bacon with his hand to put in the fridge then moving to grab the buns without changing his cloves or washing then. (Thanks for the raw bacon particles on my bread).
What can I say, it was a real disappointment to a place with a LOT of potentials. Small changes to do and the place would be 10/10 as the...
Read moreI recently ordered from Exberg via Wolt, and I was genuinely impressed! The standout here is definitely the chips—crispy, flavorful, and generously portioned. To be honest, I didn’t expect the portions to be so big. From the photos, they looked smaller, but they turned out to be as large as the ones from Juicy (if you know, you know). And the best part? They’re way more affordable.
The sweet fries were another highlight—absolutely delicious. If you’re a fan of a sweet-savory combo, these are definitely worth trying.
As for the burgers, there’s some room for improvement. I tried the truffle burger, and while it came close to the quality of the one from Juicy, it still couldn’t quite beat the Mafia burger from TB. That being said, Exberg is still a solid option—especially considering the pricing. It’s honestly a better deal than both Juicy, Tarantino, and TB due to how convenient and affordable it is.
All in all, Exberg is a great addition to Exarchia, especially thanks to its super affordable pricing. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I recommend it to anyone in the area looking for tasty,...
Read moreCame to Exarchia as a tourist for some gigs and saw the great reviews of this burger bar 2 blocks from where I stayed. 5 stars are not enough. This burger bar is genuinely one of the best fast food restaurants I have ever visited. Open late, a small but fantastic selection of burgers, and the quality is out of this world. Delicious caramelsiation on the patties, fantastic additions like their pickle mayo, and the staff are friendly, sociable and polite. And to top it off, the price compared to other burger bars both locally and in other large European cities is unbelievable. Other places you would pay double or triple the price for this kind of food. If burger heaven existed, this would be the place. They deserve every plaudit they...
