Much easier to climb compared to Lycabettus. There were only about 15 of us altogether watching sunset, all young tourists.

Highly recommended compared to Lycabettus. You don't have to fight for a spot to get a good view of thr sunset since there are barely anyone there.

I walked up well before sunset and hung around for about two hours. Didn't see any homeless but you can see the pitched tents. The place is dirty and full of trash, smells of urine like what the others mentioned. Take a torch with you or use your phone's torch as you head down as there...

My favourite place in Athens! A hill in the heart of the city with a great view from the top. It's located at Exarxia which is a cradle of culture. You can take a walk any time of the day here in a beautiful captivating environment, you will meet exciting new people, you can bring your dog and your kids to play. Late hours you could find a music event taking place here, free for everyone. There is a dark side of the hill which is that sometimes drugs addicted people finding shelter around but they usually mind their...

If you can't make it to Lycabettus Hill, this is a great smaller alternative. An amazing location to go to at night. Not too crowded but not too lonely. The view is amazing: You can see most of Athens, the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill and more. There's plenty of space and angles to choose from and with a flashlight (park and hill aren't lit) it's relatively simple to get up to the top, following stairs and trails. It's an easy climb from the streets and a romantic place for sure. Absolutely free and open...

Don’t go after dark, I’ve heard from multiple locals it is extremely dangerous. However, during the day it seems okay, I still keep one eye out, just in case. I recently moved to the area, and a group of people and I took some initiative to clean it up a bit. We maybe got about 2% of the trash cleaned up, but you have to start somewhere! Go in groups, stay away from dark areas, and you should be okay 🤙🏼 P.s. lots of needles off the main trail, be careful!
