A very nice restaurant at the foot of Mount Lycabettus, close to the Funicular station. We were drawn here by fellow reviewers and were not disappointed. There were mainly locals having lunch, a not so busy street next to the outdoor dining area, modern, but peaceful neighbourhood. The menus were digital! We browsed them on tablets handed to us, English versions handily available, with pictures and all. The Greek classics, salads, tzatziki, zucchinis were prepared flawlessly and Filippou also offered veal steaks not available in every restaurant. Read moreThe food was decent, but the service was absolutely horrible. The server never came to check on us and our food took way too long. One person at our table wanted to order something else but since the waiter never came back to our table he only ate from the appetizer we ordered and had to go hungry. We ran out of water and he never filled up our pitcher. There was no air conditioning and it was too hot inside. In order to finally pay and leave we had to hunt down the server and get his attention. He wasn't even busy, he was sitting down and playing around on his phone. We probably could've just gotten up and walked out without anyone noticing but we're not trashy people. The server not even so much as apologized or had any manners. Worst service I've ever...

We started with the delicious fried feta with honey and sesame seeds. This is a must try for anyone visiting Greece. We also had the tasty Octopus which was chopped with oil, vinegar and oregano. The Artichokes a la Polita was slow cooked artichoke hearts with carrots and potatoes in a lemon sauce. It was quite good. And the meatloaf was cooked with an egg in the middle….definitely different. The meal ended with a moist cake with brown sugar that was quite good. And the beer always hits the spot. Great...
