Went here 27/3 in the morning. First off the waitress was really pushy and rude. I walked in and was stared at like an alien (did I forget my mask or something? Nope, on my face), bare in mind, nobody else was in there. I saw a bunch of rolled up plastic sheets that looked like menus and asked “Do I just grab one of these?” She says NO and pointed to the paper menus (my bad). She asked how many, I said just me, she said “ok, only place you sit is here by the window”. Wanted to sit outside, but whatever, its your restaurant you make the rules. I sat down and was asked if I had my vaccination card, I said I had it in my Apple Wallet and if that was ok. She said yes and tried scanning it a few times. They would not serve me because they said my vaccinations were outdated and needed to have happened three months ago. . . . I’m not a scientist, but according to the CDC and WHO as of today, you can only get two vaccinations and a booster shot, which I showed proof of. I tried to explain that I can only get three shots, but was told again I had to have had them three months ago and thats why the QR Code was not scanning, my vaccine is “expired”. So in order to be served here I would have had to have waited until about 5 months ago to get vaccinated (during a pandemic) in the first place. I got vaccinated literally the day they were available and I’m sure a lot of Americans have done the same. I’m sure some of this must have been lost in translation (I’m not one of those people that expects everyone to speak English), which is fine, but the rudeness and inability to be reasonable for two seconds left a really bad taste in my mouth. Obviously, I won’t be coming here again. I went to a vegan place 3 blocks away and told them what happened and they said it was ridiculous and that they probably just didn’t understand. I get it, but not a good way to do business, especially...
Read morethe good quality of the coffee is undeniable. The unreasonably high price of coffee, however, is also somewhat off-putting. With such low-budget solutions in the space and the design, layout and general design with the general cold feeling of the space, one cannot even justify the price of several products. Very specific audience targeting and age-wise, of course, it is aimed at a young audience for sure, but it is probably unfair and unfair because with a more beautiful environment, someone could achieve much more in attracting their audience. Perhaps this is also a priori the purpose of this whole project. Maybe not. However, having many other points of reference in extremely well-kept spaces and also with great products and coffee, one can reasonably wonder if one will attempt a visit again, except perhaps for take away, something that one will not really regret either in the food, nor in the quality and enjoyment of it coffee as the company does not make any discount on it. the rest is a matter of personal choice...
Read moreA cute spot in Athens with nice decor and a somewhat friendly staff. We ordered sweet potatoes, avocado toast, a dish with fried eggs, coffee, babka, and a Basque cheesecake. We were surprised to find that most options were vegetarian, though this wasn’t clearly advertised. The menu lacked variety, and the avocado toast was underwhelming—the bread wasn’t crunchy at all. However, the Basque cheesecake was outstanding! Overall, it seems like a better place for coffee and dessert rather than a full...
