KALDI Καφεκοπτείο (Coffee grinder's and shop) — Restaurant in Athens

Nice place and decoration Some products are mediocre to almost tasteless (e.g. cold chocolate) Service: mediocre, too relaxed (almost careless), and sometimes impolite (e.g. the chubby barista who was ignoring customers' questions and the 2 ladies behind the bar who were provokingly chatting about how their spend their nightlife and didn't knowing how to respond to costumers' questions). Workers did not know what are inside the products, thus as a result, I bought less products than I initially intended (this means that the owner basically lost extra income from the customers due to the impolite and badly trained workers). Only 2 workers were A BRIGHT EXCEPTION to this and created a positive atmosphere with their politeness and by doing their best to satisfy the customers' needs (e.g., the thin short barista (guy) - sorry for the general description, I don't know names of the workers :-) ).

I hope this feedback will lead to improvement because it is a pity... This place in theory has great potential for...

Visited here today post Lockdown. The place is still on its game despite implementing social distancing and changing the ceramic cups for disposable cups. The coffee is Amazing! Delicious arabica beans perfectly roasted into an iced latte. Perfect for a hot summers day.

The coffee is also available for purchase by the kilo and will be freshly ground for either paper or metal filters.

Passed by here on the way to my accommodation and made a mental note to come back to try it out. It did not disappoint and the staff are truly friendly. I'm going to call this my Athenian local ☕ Great place to grab a coffee to go, or stay and chat/read/write/think. It isn't near the usual tourist attractions but getting there will allow you to see a bit more of Athens than you...
