We've just returned home from a week's stay at this hotel. Generally, had a very good stay, for a budget hotel. We stayed in a budget ground floor double room, which had everything we needed and plenty space, including free water in the mini fridge, hairdryer and much needed Aircon. Towels and bins were changed every day for us. There was also a little balcony. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy, although the main reception often did smell like cigarette smoke as the main door being open mostly all afternoon would have smokers standing right outside, but, nothing that can be done about that. The top floor had a lovely outdoor terrace where breakfast was served every morning and had a great view of Athens and the acropolis. Shout out to the staff member in charge of breakfast, she was great to chat to! Breakfast was always good, plenty of variety, my favs in particular were the orange cake and Greek yogurt with honey! The reception staff were always pleasant and friendly too. It's worth mentioning the hotel is on a rather steep hill, and reached by either stairs or a step incline road, bit of a work out in 30 degree heat but not unmanageable as long as you're in decent health. The only issue we had at all during our stay overall was on 1 night we came back to find our balcony door had been left open all day, presumably by a cleaner and unfortunately had let all the flies and bugs in... other than that we had a very pleasant stay and would absolutely stay again. The neighborhood of Exarcheia is a lively young alternative kind of place, lots of cool bars and cafes open late and the area is buzzing in the evening with people enjoying a drink and socialising. We felt safe overall. Highly recommend this hotel as a great...

We stayed in a nice room with personal terrace, ac, fridge and bath with (rain)shower, sink and toilet for a good price (roughly 40€ per person per night for a 7 night stay in a double bedroom with a double bed). The door to the terrace and the window in the yoilet alsi had mosquito nets. The terrace has an amazing view over athens and you can access it at all times (also with a really small elevator with 250 kg maximum weight and really small doors) and you can also get breakfast on it from 8 to 11 am for 9€ per person. The personell is very friendly. The Hotel is located in the quarter Εξαρχεια (Exarcheia), wich is often considered the anarchist quarter of athens. Even so it isn't dangerous in any way and I never felt unsafe but as a high percentag of inhabitants are university students it can be a bit louder even at later times. Exarcheia is apart from that renown for it's cafés and bars. I can recommend "Mystic Pizza and Pasta", an Italian restaurant with quite some vegetarian options and with optional vegan cream for pasta, vegan cheese and whole grain pizza dough for less gluten and "Black Salami", a sandwich café. You can reach the city center by foot in around 25 minutes. The hotel is unfortunately not 100% barrier free as the streets leading to it are fairly steep you have to climb a small step to enter the main entrance to building one, where the reception is and where you can then access the elevator wich unfortunately is really small and has small doors (building 2 doesn't have rooms for wich you don't have to climb some...

Absolutely unexpected experience. I was about to book a quiet place to wait over a couple days before the flight home, thinking of something like Ibis level.

Found this place on the map and booked just because of the park nearby.

It turned to be the the best place to stay in the last 2 weeks of constant moving.

The room i had was exceptional.

Check:

The view over whole Athens to the Parthenon

quiet place with very light background sounds of people passing by

very comfortable beds

furniture to make Louis XIV jealous

unbelievably beautiful area: you get Saturday market, park view viewpoints right on the other side of you, few museums and another big park in 10 min walking distance

food is accessable by foot, literally next door

great breakfast with a VIEW on both sides

very friendly personnel, i guess it's a family business

cheaper than Ibis even (i honestly think they should charge at least over 100 eur)

room has more amenities that you would need (aircon, heater, tea, whatnot)

Fantastic place, highly recommended. I will likely come back to stay just for...

We stayed for one night but the room was comfortable and elegant with vintage furniture and a very nice bed! The room was fairly small compared to North American standards but was by no means uncomfortable. We had an excellent view of the Acropolis and woke up early to watch the sunrise. We had two balconies which was nice for getting out of the hot sun later in the day. The area is beautiful and an interesting public park lines the building which we explored for birds and nature. The service was fantastic and the front desk assisted us with printing our bus tickets, giving us some tips on good restaurants and bars, what to avoid, as well as they booked us a taxi for the next morning (it was easy and they arrived on time). We tried to book a couple more nights for when we returned to Athens but they were full for the nights we were coming back. Cheers to Nico for a great time and we would definitely recommend!
