One of the best modern, affordable restaurants in Athens, a hidden gem. Typical Greek seasonal dishes with a modern twist, generous portions, good ingredients and flavourful tastes. The setting is low key, clean and modern and the staff very responsive and polite. In the Summer, they have a cute outdoor area with trees over, overlooking the little park opposite. Some of our fave dishes are the fennel soup, lachanodolmades (cabbage leaves stuffed with mince and a white egg and lemon sauce over), kotsi (Eisbein/pork knuckle) slow cooked in an oven paper parcel in the oven, tsipoura (fish) on charcoal, Cretan tagliatelle with fresh tomato and local white cheese and rocket leaves, Schnitzel in a mushroom and cheese sauce and many more. The restaurant is suitable for a casual, as well as business lunch or for introducing foreign guests to good quality Greek cuisine. Open for lunch and dinner, they have a seasonal menu and a good wine list. At the end of the meal, a complimentary dessert and/or schnapps. We had the lovely Portokalopita (orange flavoured Eastern dessert) with...
Read moreThis was a great location from Hotel Zafolia, a quick 5min walk. A hotel staff member suggest on our first day in Athens. It has a very open feel and was nice to be able to see outside while enjoying dinner and drinks. We ordered the appetizers for two- which was a meal on its own. It had two of everything- Saganaki cheese (2), meat balls (2), pork chops (2), sausages (2), lots of fries, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and olives! I ordered the grilled bass which had great flavor and came with potatoes and boiled veggies. My husband ordered a chicken special that said came with some type of pasta however I think they misunderstood what he wanted and he got chicken kabob with a baked potato. The chicken had amazing flavor and was very tender and juicy. The potato had a bit to much sour cream on it. We were finished the waited brought us each a piece of orange cake. It was very moist with an interesting mouth feel and taste. The prices here are very reasonable and affordable. Overall, we...

I visited on Sunday, and although the restaurant was busy, the service was very slow.
I had to ask twice just to place an order. One of the 3 main dishes was incorrect, but due to time pressure, we didn’t complain—knowing it would likely take another 40 minutes to fix.
After eating, I paid a €200 note for a €75 bill and asked to make it €90, leaving a €15 tip.
Ten minutes later, the waitress returned with only €90 in change, as if I had left a €35 tip.
I corrected her, but nothing happened, so I had to go to the cashier to get the rest.
In my opinion, this wasn’t the waitress’s mistake, but a deliberate approach by the restaurant
I overheard staff unsure about the tip and deciding to take more unless I complained.
Food was good, but service was...
