Good food in a very lively area of Athens with very good service. It looks like Athens city centre modernised quite a bit since we last came. The restaurant seems rather recent and is modern looking. It's located in a buzzing area but yet off the main street with the bars blasting music...so you can talk easily in this place. The waiters were very welcoming, friendly, and really at your service. We followed their food recommendations, that is the courgette (zucchini) starter, the croquette (fried cheese ball) starter, the moussaka was our choice, and the Galaktoboureko dessert made of milk, semolina, honey, and vanilla ice cream with one of those greek herbs you can make alcohol with. All was good, may be a bit on the pricey side for Greece (although I like references at this stage). Cheese ball was not either dry or oily so good but could have benefit a bit more sauce. The zucchini starter is light and fresh. Moussaka is well served and pretty tasty. I particularly liked the light foamy bechamel on top. Obviously the waiters recommends to leave space for dessert. The Galaktoboureko is very good but it is really going to fill you up. I kind of regretted having it because it is...

After having to wait one hour for a bread to arrive at our table, this was cold, almost frozen. Paradoxically, the bill was also nicely placed on the table at this point containing everything we ordered, but yet to receive. In what kind of restaurant do they show you the bill, then get your food to you? The greek salad we ordered arrived after another 15 minutes. How difficult is it to throw some tomatoes, cucumber and olives together and warm up a bread rolls? Surely not 1,15 hrs! My grilled octopus which I ordered as main was so chewy I couldn’t eat it all, even though I was hungry. There were at least two tables around us that just paid their drinks and left without eating since they waited over an hour just as we did and still no sign of their starters. If you were going to the bathroom, all you can hear was their kitchen staff arguing and shouting. When I mentioned the state of the food to the waiter, he said sorry (rightly it wasn’t his fault), but we were still asked to pay the full amount on the bill. Sorry, but a sorry won’t cut it guys! This is not acceptable. Not sure how you got full 5 star reviews until now, but definitely not even worth one for last night’s...

We had dinner here tonight and I would advise you to choose anywhere else, do not believe the Google reviews! We had their sourdough bread to start (which was good) and then the main dishes didn’t come out until 45 minutes later! There were only 3 other small tables sitting in the entire restaurant, so no idea why it took so long

The reason for the 1 star is the food. We ordered their two most popular dishes: beef rib pasta and goat pasta. The server said the beef was slow cooked for 6-8 hours but it was incredibly DRY. It was so dry that I was struggling to swallow each bite. The orzo had no depth and was very bland. My boyfriend’s goat pasta was extremely mushy (very overcooked, not al dente) and also very bland. No flavors whatsoever in either dish. We couldn’t finish either dish because they were both so bad. No one came to check on us the entire meal. When we asked for the check we told the waiter we didn’t like the food but he didn’t say anything, he just took the plates away.

They purposely sat everyone outside to make the restaurant appear busier. AVOID this restaurant. Please go...

The Ambience was very pleasant, the restaurant is well furnished and with nice paintings. So off the start we felt like in a nice restaurant, which is elegant, yet cozy at the same time. The food we ordered was very fresh, we had grilled pork souvlaki and prawns, both meat qualities were really good, tender meat, great taste with beautiful grill aroma! The sauce was very fitting and went well with our wine. The desert at the end however was the best. The have the galaktoboureko and it was the most delicious desert we had in a long time! I would highly recommend taking it, because it will set the bar really high for other deserts to come. As we were dining really early (18:30 to 20:00), the restaurant was quite empty, so we had really good service. The waiters are really friendly. :) If you want some Greek cuisine but with a little more sophistication, I cannot recommend this restaurant more! Really nice, elegant, high quality, but still down to earth! We will gladly come and eat at your restaurant again! (Photo of Galaktoboureko, we already started eating…)
