When we arrived in Athens - it was night. While in taxi, we went randomly on google maps and searched for any restaurants near our area that were open. That’s how we found my plate. When we saw that it’s open ‘til the morning we said “Ok that’s our place!”
We got there around 11 p.m., starving. So… we started to order 🤣 The food was delicious - fresh and tasty. And it wasn’t because we were really hungry. While in Athens, we had several tzatzikis and at my plate was one of the best so far.
The first night we went there : we paid around 35 euros for 4 people. And we ordered a loooot…
The people working there were very nice and friendly to us - they didn’t mind speaking english at all.
One day, we returned there for a small afternoon snack - just 2 gyros and one tzatziki (2 people) and it was good as the first time. However, I liked more the veggie burger in a pita (the first time) than the one with cheese in a pita (second time). We are vegetarians so we haven’t had any meat, but the other ones that were with us said it was very good.
So… yes - a place found rather unexpected, but that exceeded any expectactions we could have had....
Read moreWe’re out-of-towners who visit the Gazi district of Athens regularly and choose to dine at MyPlate every time! From the very moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is simply outstanding – every dish is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Portions are generous and the ingredients taste incredibly fresh. The service is exceptional – attentive without being intrusive, and the staff truly care about making your dining experience special. Head and shoulders above anything we’ve received elsewhere in the vicinity. I especially want to highlight our amazing server MICHALIS — he’s always so kind, attentive, and goes out of his way to make sure we’re taken care of. These days, it’s rare to find the level of genuine hospitality that MICHALIS offers. Job well done! This restaurant captures the true spirit of Greek hospitality. Highly recommend! Thank you!...
Read moreTheir tables can accommodate up to four persons. We were six. They told us to cram in a table for four because they could not do anything better. The service was very slow. It took some time to order but then it took a very long time until the salad came. The main course plates took even longer. We had to ask for a bottle of water four times and it only arrived at the end of our meal. The portions of the salads were small. The salad was so small as if it was for one person. The gyros was like it was very old and really heavy on the stomach. The fries were like plastic. The pork chops were too dry to cut with the knife. Very expensive for the low quality of food it offers. I would definitely not recommend. The quality of the greater area has plummeted due to the economic...
