The good: The apartment was very good overall. It was very well equipped - towels, plates and utensils, 3 rolls of toilet paper (2 of them are under the sink, if you cant find them), fridge and freezer, coffee machine and pods, and more (see pics). The AC unit worked very well, there were blackout curtains, hot water, and the bed was comfortable. There is also an elevator to all the floors except for the roof - which is open for everyone to visit, and has a great view directly to the acropolis, with a bench and table to sit there. I also got free cleaning services several times during my stay (which was a full week).

The area is very lively and feels very safe throughout the whole day, with cozy bars, pubs and restaurants right outside. It is also around 5 minutes walk from Monastiraki square.

The bad: As the area is so lively, it can be loud during the night, mostly till 1:30 am, with the nearby pubs, a pub crawl sometimes passing outside, and more. The owner notifies you of it when you book, though - and for me, a set of ear plugs did the job.

Also, I stayed in the ground room floor - which is the cheapest in the building. However, it meant my window opened directly into the street. It could still open, but I kept it close most of the time. It was covered by a sort of white sticker for me, so people couldn't see into the room - however, it let in enough light for me during the morning. I did turn the AC on for quite a bit because of that.

There is no reception desk and all communication is done via whatsapp or email - which worked well for me, but it can be problematic for some. Cleaning services also didn't add new toilet paper to my room, which was ok for me as I was a solo traveler and stayed for a week, but be aware you might have to buy some extra if you are a couple.

Overall, a very good apartment in a great location for a...

Absolutely brilliant place to stay. Spotless, friendly staff and management. Even though the manager is remote, they're very helpful the whole way through. The complex is spotless throughout - far better than the cost suggests. The amenities are great - everything you might need on hand. Location is great - outside your front door is more choice in cafes, restaurants, bars and taverna's than you could ever possibly need and the street itself is one of the nicer looking in Athens. Heading the other way down the street you have most of the main historic sites and shops within minutes... And more hospitality choices! It's close to transport routes too, so a trip or two out of the city is very easy. Some reviews on here mention noise... A 30 second Google search would have shown them that it's on a main street in a lively part of Athens, so some life is to be expected. It certainly isn't noisy though - and I'm not a heavy sleeper. My room was only 2nd floor with the balcony on the street - not once did it disturb me. In case it does, they supply ear plugs, so it really isn't a problem. The beds are also super comfortable! I cannot speak highly enough of my stay here. I will be visiting Athens in the future and Central Stay will be my first choice of places to stay.

I've also seen comments regarding the nationality of reviews. For balance, I'm...

We stayed in Athens for 3 days before getting on a cruise. We were pleasantly surprised by Central Stay! I did not quite realize when I booked that it was not a hotel and rather a condo/AirBNB situation but it was extremely spacious complete with a kitchen. A cleaning lady came in during our stay and cleaned, provided new towels. The location was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better, more central location in Psyri. The street we were on did have a few tourist traps but also some gems. But right off the main street there was some wonderful, authentic food. Very safe at night as well. As some mentioned, do prepare for it to be very loud at night. People are out drinking and partying till roughly 2am and the music is loud. They provide earplugs but we had our own from the plane and they did help. If you are not used to music/a loud environment, this stay might not be for you. We decided that the location for how short we were here was...

This is a small, clean, apartment hotel in a great location. It is not well signed so we walked past it while looking for it in the dark. Helps to look for the decrepit bicycle. So much to see (and eat!) within walking distance and a lovely view from the rooftop. We booked the garden view room and it had a kitchenette but no microwave. The view isn't much of a view, mostly the building next door. The water is hot (after 15min) and the shower has great pressure. The bed is small (double/full) so for a tall couple it was uncomfortable. The blackout curtains had holes in them. The hvac unit didn't work, possibly dead batteries in the remote. The key lock box is great so you don't risk losing the room key during sightseeing, and the basement has large lockers for luggage. This place would be great for my younger, poorer self but I'm at a stage in my life where I want more comfort.

It was our 5th time staying at Central Stay as its perfect and we pick it to enjoy the city center of Athens but at the same time you can visit almost every place in Athens as the metro and train are located literally 2 minutes from the hotel. It is located in the vivid Psiri neighborhood, which is the best location. Walking distance to all places, restaurants and bars open 24/7. The hotel itself is excellent. New, very comfortable and clean. Nespresso machine in the room, fully staffed kitchen. Self check in and out. It was such a pleasure to watch the spectacular view from the rooftop as our room got upgraded and we really apricated it and enjoyed it a lot. I must say its value for money too as the prices are fair. Will be back :)
