Piggy - Πόπουλο — Restaurant in Athens

We got here after our 18 hour travel day and it was the first place we stopped! We wanted to get a gyro, but i believe because of the time of the night it wasn’t available. We got a pork and chicken skewer wrapped in pita bread! I’m not sure the difference between that and a gyro but OH MY it was delicious!!! It was the first thing we’ve eaten in 14 hours and it was the best in the world!! So grateful to have this be our first Greek restaurant! The owner and staff are very friendly aswell! I really read some great reviews for this place and I ordered. The pita was burned and was rock hard. Couldn't eat at all. I called them back and they where absolutely rude towards me. They advertise themselves as the ones with a quality and gourme souvlaki. And it was the worst I ever had in a lifetime. Not to mention that the gyros and potatoes where cold. The quantity of gyros was almost none existent. For the price of 2.60Euro this is a total scam. If you want to throw your money away and give it a try. Be my guest....

Could have a better experience here on a better day I guess(?) As a local I can confirm that the pork gyros here is way too salty. They also forgot the sauce I asked for (while the restaurant was not even busy, I was the only client) so the pita was way more difficult to eat with that much salt and no sauce... The staff also seems really bored. Really, not the best experience I've had in...
