Madai Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Athens

This small Japanese spot in Pangrati does have a plus: a cute outdoor terrace on the street, complete with proper heaters for chilly weather. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end.

The sushi we ordered here turned out to be overpriced, especially because the quality didn’t justify the cost. We sampled three different rolls, and none were worth it: the sushi rice, meant to be light and fluffy, was pressed together and hard, and the fish was drowned in sauce, making it hard to taste anything else. We saw other dishes on nearby tables that looked a bit more appealing, but I doubt...

Very bad experience with this sushi bar.Owner is really disappointing.very poor experience. Workers those who work in sushi bar never get salary.he always lie and he cannot effort to give salary.employers work for many months and he never gives salary sometime 40 € sometime 20€and many workers go without taking salary ...I recommend zero to work in this Sushi bar..Ileas he is worst and worst don't work as Sushi man or chef in this Sushi bar..these owners thought we are from third country and they cannot do anything for them..I left more then 15 days Salary around 500euro..bloody...

Microscopic rolls. The fish is fresh, but the rice is undercooked. I have seen before that in some restaurants save fish, but not rice. Rolls are poorly twisted, although there were few people in the establishment. I’m sincerely surprised and disappointed to get such "strange" sushi in Pagrati. When I asked the waiter to explain why the rolls were so small, he replied that the menu stated 90g. Well, it one of the worst sushi I found in Athens as big fun of sushi Atmosphere and everything...
