Raeti Cretan Restaurant — Restaurant in Athens

Family owned cafeteria/restaurant. Amazing paprika rice cakes, nice atmosphere, looks authentic.

However, i am giving 3 stars only for the owners to have a chance to improve, because at the moment it is tourist unfriendly and has some other problems: very limited English, mediocre price/quality ratio, no menu or clear showing of prices/portions ( we pointed at cafeteria style window what we wanted),awful spinach dish ( super greasy/pure bland and expensive) probably one of the worser dishes in my life ( have tasted some amazing Afghanistan...

Definitely a diamond in the rough. There was nobody in the restaurant when we were there, even though it was dinner time. The server was extremely helpful (they don't have an English menu but the guy put together a plate for my wife and I custom made). Food was sort of buffet style looking, and looked like it had been sitting out for awhile but you order up front and when they put it together on the plate and jazzed it up for us it was quite delicious. Tried Dakos for the first time!
