We dined today at U.Soul/Candy Cat with friends who love trying ethnic cuisine and it was our first time trying Ukrainian food. Our experience was filled with warmth as our hostesses were ready to answer all our questions about Ukrainian (food) culture, treat us with handmade products and converse kindly and enthusiastically. Me and my partner ordered the infamous big borscht, pumpkin varenyky and Lviv cheesecake, as well as the refreshing handmade kompot. Our friends chose the soup and two other cakes, the Kyiv cake and the Medovik. Let's just say that Medovik will be the protagonist in our next visit. The menu is small but there are always more and more things to try out and keep you curious. The building is cute, with a wide variety of sweets and impressive cakes, definitely catering to sweet tooths. We'll definitely visit again, recommend it to food lovers and keep this in our hearts as the soul of Ukrainian rep in the center of Athens! Lots of love!

Посетили украинский ресторан в Греции с подругами, и это было одно из лучших кулинарных впечатлений, которое мы получили за долгое время! Каждое блюдо было приготовлено с такой заботой и вниманием к деталям, что мы остались в полном восторге. Я заказала пюре с грибами – это было не просто вкусно, а восхитительно! Грибы были идеально приготовлены, с насыщенным вкусом, который отлично сочетался с нежным пюре. Настоящий уют на тарелке! Одна из моих подруг выбрала киевскую котлету с пюре – она была в восторге. Сочное мясо и хрустящая корочка просто таяли во рту, а пюре добавляло приятную кремовую текстуру. Другая подруга решила попробовать драники с картошкой – и они были великолепны. Хрустящие снаружи и мягкие внутри, с глубоким картофельным вкусом, который так напоминает домашнюю еду. А наша третья подруга попробовала сырники – и тоже осталась в полном восторге. Нежные, воздушные, с идеальной текстурой, они были поданы с соусом, который добавил немного сладости и свежести. И вишенкой на торте стало то, что в конце нас угостили рюмкой водки с оленями – это был неожиданный, но очень приятный жест, который только добавил теплоты и гостеприимства к нашему вечеру. Спасибо огромное за такие впечатления и потрясающую еду! Обязательно вернемся снова!
