WooWoo Athens — Restaurant in Athens

The singer was very good. I had the Mongolian beef, it was so,so. However, my companions enjoyed their dishes. Generally, the portions are small but the atmosphere is lively and the entertainment is good. One thing I must comment on, however is the placement of the tables. With all due respect to the management, there are only so many tables that can fit in a place so small with live entertainment. We must have been placed in the very worst table in the establishment. It was situated along the walkway toward the balcony door where everyone goes to smoke. That table needs to be removed. Group of friends hugely disappointed from the so much anticipated visit to the pan-Asian Woo Woo restaurant last week. Being in top of our Athens to-do list – travelling from Cyprus for the weekend- we arranged our booking a month in advance! Come last Friday at the entrance door, we were announced that we don’t have a booking and therefore cannot be accommodated as the restaurant was fully booked. Our persistent efforts to prove to the doorman that we indeed booked a table went down the drain. Not even the fact that we were foreign travellers could change something. Thankfully, the group was in a fantastic mood and nothing could happen to bring us down. We found alternative and had a blast! Afterall, it is Athens – the city with the best night...

Called to make a reservation. They told me its 60€ per Person minimum spending which was totally fine and then we got a “table” at the Bar, because they don’t give tables to parties under 3 people. As you can imagine, me as a woman wearing 10cm heels and a short dress, sitting at a bar chair was pretty uncomfortable. Eating was even worse. I imagine only drinking was fine seated at the bar. When it got full later on, people were coming next to me left and right to order. I felt smothered with no personal space. We paid the same per person as the people sitting at the tables but felt like we had come without a reservation at the last minute. I wont recommend it nor go there again, even if we are more...
