Taverna Gargadoyas — Restaurant in Delphi Municipality

First of all, a super friendly man serving us (maybe he is the owner, not sure). Made us feel as if we had visited grandparents. Came here for a late lunch, after visiting the archaeological site and museum, the place was empty. Seating next to the road with a nice view. Easy parking on the street as well, it is the end of the town, so there were enough spots at the end of March. Had a greek salad and a cheese pie. Portions are large and everything super tasty. Cheese pie perfectly baked, not dry, not too soggy. Prices are reasonable. At the end of our lunch, we were given a very nice desert of greek yoghurt with a homemade cherry jam, super delicious! SUPERBE ! All of the food we've eaten in Greece is amazing so far yet this is the best one yet! Table Rosé is refreshing and fruity Tzatziki packs a punch Greek salad is extremely fresh and satisfying with a generous block of feta Gyros are perfection! Good quality meat, well seasoned and spiced (even the potatoes!) Pita bread has a sublime texture, always hot (ok ok we had 2 extra servings ok!) Baklava with ice cream is AWESOME. Burnt sugary taste, nuts are mild and moreish even though baklava is a notoriously rich dessert. Ice cream with honey lightens up the dish, even the mint sprig elevates!

And of course the hosts are very kind sweet people! Please don't miss this place...

Probably the worst food, that i ever got served in my life. After reading all the good reviews of this restaurant, we decided to have our evening diner in this place. The chicken gyros was appalling. Burned pieces of meat, clearly reheated in the microwave. The pitta bread was old. and the fries... omg the fries! probably reheated several times, dry and greasy. I tried 3 of them, and 2 had a fishy taste. Most likely recovered from a previous customers fish diner. All these reviews who claim "so fresh products, so good taste" are clearly fake reviews. Atleast the service was fast, it took them less then 5 minutes to bring this disgusting plat of garbage! Avoid this...
