There are certain things that we expect out of a restaurant experience, especially with children. Mezze Mezze clearly didn't meet these expectations.
This place came highly recommended from 3 different sources. While the food was very good and varied for a Greek restaurant we were left with a bitter experience in the end.
We came with our two young children. As to be expected they are difficult at that age. On the menu there is a pasta dish with grilled chicken, cherry tomatoes and pesto sauce. We asked if they could kindly just do the pasta with the pesto sauce, which they agreed to do.
But when the bill came (it wasn't physically shown to us, just the card reader straight away) they charged us for the full price of the dish. I asked them if they could at least take a few euros off because we didn't take the chicken and the answer was rude saying that the dish was conceived this way and that they did us a favor by taking out the chicken. They did say they would cook the chicken for us to take away but that defeats the purpose. And the attitude was wrong.
We were planning on coming back during our stay. Needless to say, we will not. Such a disappointment to meet people with the emotional...
Read moreWe were a group of 8 people after our 7 hours hike from mount olympus. We sat down and before the waitress made the table we asked her if they serve gyros in pita, she said that they don't and we asked her to give us 5 minutes in case we decide we want to go to a different restaurant. After we said that, she started to scold us very rudely saying that the common courtesy in restaurants is asking for the thing you want to eat before sitting on a table. Of course we left and we heard her cursing us. I want to mention that the only thing she did for our table before we asked her, is put on the paper sheets. We would consider to eat there because the place seemed lovely and our beloved mountain guide Dionisis recommended the restaurant but not after he...
Read moreI've been visiting this restaurant for years. Never had any issues neither with the food nor the staff. The place is situated at the center of the village (on the main street) across the park. There is a big variety of dishes you can choose from and the prices are really affordable. Although its not your typical tavern, you can still find those traditional tavern main dishes there. The place is preferred also by the residents of the village (which in my opinion says more than any review would) and you'll always notice that it will be packed with customers even whilst the rest of the restaurants are nearly empty. I strongly recommend staying here to eat if you plan on...
