Exohiko Fish Tavern — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

We must have chosen a bad night. I'm reading a lot of positive reviews here but that's not what we experienced. First food was ok, not great but certainly good. Service was a disaster. All the time we were there nobody had any connection or interest in their guests, it was all focused on getting new clients in even though the place was packed. You couldn't get the attention of a waiter if you wanted something, finished plates were left on the tables forever, when i looked around it was the same at every table and no one was smiling, everybody was annoyed. Clear the tables and ask if they want coffee or dessert, clients spend 20/30% more if treated well and will return. After waiting for 30 minutes with dirty plates on the table i asked for the check, asked again after 10 minutes and had to call him out another 2 times after recieving it before he came to collect. I was very close to just walking out which i never have done. I very seldom write reviews like this but this was not ok and a disgrace for Greek...

We had dinner at the restaurant and overall had a good experience. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and served in large portions, and the view over the bay was truly beautiful, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. There was, however, a bit of disorganization when it came to service. Several different waiters attended to us, which led to some minor confusion. For example, we had to ask for the bill three times, each time with a different waiter, and had to repeatedly clarify whether we would pay by card or cash. It wasn’t a major issue, but it did create a sense of miscommunication. Disappointing Experience – Hidden Charges and Poor Service

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was below expectations, and we were surprised to receive water we never ordered – only to find out later that we had to pay for it. This is not common practice in other restaurants in Halkidiki.

On top of that, they charged €1 per person just for sitting at the table. It’s not about the amount – it’s about the feeling that you’re being taken advantage of. We paid €64 for our food and drinks, and then were asked to pay an additional €2 for the water we didn’t order and €2 more for simply being two people at the table.

The final bill was €68, and understandably, we didn’t leave a tip.
