I am surprised by the 4.9 average rating. The food is good. Sitting by the harbour is clearly not a bad location, BUT the service is so bad. The waiters are friendly, BUT.. after over half an hour, they noticed they had only one chicken souvlaki left. Then they tried to convince me of dishes I did not want, and I asked for the menu. After quite some time, I could reorder. But then the next dish was out.. the waiter apologized, ok, I went for the swordfish skawer. After over 50 minutes, the food arrived. Unfortunately, the wrong sider to one of us. We claimed in the moment, and they said they would bring the vegetables right away. After half her dish was eaten, I went inside and they brought the vegetables and said sorry. On another table the people left as noone came to order.. the restaurant was only half full.. We thought we would give 3 stars. Then, when paying, we should take the receipt from the table with us to the cashier. There they issued a new receipt as the changed dish costs 1 euro more than the original dish. I mean, after all that mess, really insisting on that 1 euro shows something to me and made me further...
Read moreIf you’re in Lefkada and craving authentic Greek food with a view, Magiko Fagito is an absolute must. Overlooking the sea, this cozy restaurant offers the perfect combination of stunning scenery, home-cooked flavors, and genuine Greek hospitality. The menu is full of traditional, homemade dishes, from rich oven-baked meals to slow-cooked stews that taste like they came straight from a village kitchen. One dish you simply must try is the seafood platter – generous, fresh, and grilled to perfection. It’s packed with variety and flavor, and it’s the perfect choice for sharing. If you’re more into meat the kontosouvli, kokoretsi, and other spit-roasted meats are absolutely delicious – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of that smoky, traditional taste. And don’t worry about leaving hungry – the portions are huge, perfect for sharing. (Half the food came home with us) The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always happy to recommend something special from the kitchen. True to its name, this place really is magical. Highly...

But 3 things had me thinking, the first is that bread is to be paid, ok, no problem with that, I can also pay it more than those 0.8 euros per person, but I would like you to tell me in advance that I mandatory to have bread and pay it, not to bring it and then pay it in the invoice, this is the same principle as “pane e coperto” in Italy, but it’s written clearly in the menu.
Greek salad is almost as twice as expensive as in other places (9 euros vs 5.5 euros) it’s also true that is almost twice as good and they use the best olive oil I had in a normal restaurant in a while, so it’s ok on my side.
The only thing that is truly overpriced is the fresh lemonade, 4.5 for a small glass, making it more expensive than beer, please, make me pay 5 euros, but give me half a liter so that I don’t have to order two lemonades.
Other than that, which are easy thing to solve, I strongly...
