Bella mangia pizzeria — Restaurant in Lixouri Municipality

While I give this review 3 stars, I cannot say that is definitely my overall opinion on everything this restaurant has to offer. They do some things well and some things not so well.

The food itself is delicious, the flavours on my plate were the best part of the meal. I ordered the fish and chips and it wasn't what I was expecting, it was a delicious Greek style of fish and chips.

The place where this restaurant is really lacking is the wait. We waited for over an hour possibly an hour and a half for the food to arrive and we were getting pretty annoyed however the quality of the food was well worth the wait. This place seems to do takeaway and they give the impression this is prioritised over sitting customers.

Overall I wouldn't say this restaurant is good or bad and I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from dining here however I must say that you should be prepared to wait for the quality food here.

EDIT: I would also like to add that as cars go by on the road outside most of them hit the 2 loose manhole covers on the street. This was actually rather annoying and negatively affected the atmosphere in the restaurant. Don’t ever make the mistake and visit that restaurant! When we arrived to that restaurant which is located in Lixouri, Kefalonia adjacent to the sea, we were greeted by a waitress who told us that she was very sorry to inform us that the food will be delayed to be served around 45 minutes. Due to the fact that we had already made a reservation the day before, we decided to stay. To our surprise, not only did the waitress delayed 20 minutes to take our order but also we spend more than an hour(even though it should come after 45 minutes ) waiting for the food to be served to our table (not to mention that they brought it at one hour of delay as we were flew off the handle and finally complained). Coming to a conclusion the food wasn’t that good at all so as to deserve the delay and if you really want to sample Italian food in lixouri, there are way better restaurants(not only fancy) to visit and be treated with an appropriate service and eat great food.Also the day after, we asked -due to curiosity- some locals about that restaurant and the confirmed that its service had always been appalling and the food is always delayed to be served( 45 - 50 minutes) despite how crowd the...

My partner and I were wandering around Lixouri seafront one afternoon after having a bit of a meltdown about our move here and saw this restaurant. We decided we would visit it next time we were out in the evening.

About 2 weeks later we headed into town for the evning and had already decided we were going here, and we were not disappointed.

It was a cold night and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely warm log burner and a smile from the waiter.

We both ordered starters and pizzas - which the waiter pointed out were big but we could take home what we didn't manage! That was lunch the next day sorted!

Food and ambience were both excellent, with very friendly, genuine service.

We will be back to try out the grilled section...
