Ok, let's start at the beginning. Having been to many places and having developed a level of frustration at poor service and overpriced mediocrity, I can sum it up by saying: THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE. It's not rocket science but it stands out - unfortunately. It starts with the ambience: this place is clean, tastefully decorated with a breezy feel of seaside, white and airy, so you want to come in and sit down. From the moment you do, the service is spot on. Whoever organizes it: BRAVO. It ticks all the boxes. Attentive yet non intrusive, helpful and knowledgeable but not in your face, always there at the right time, impeccably polite and respectful. You want to give a tip just for that. Then comes the food: EXCELLENT. There is simply nothing that could've been done better. No matter what you order, it's just right. And then, finally the bill and you can't help thinking that it's amazing value for money. Considering how good it is, it's very reasonably priced. You wouldn't get seafood of that quality for that price in the UK, that's for sure. All in all a wonderful place. If there were 10 stars I...
Read moreDuring our short trip to Lixouri my mum sister and I ate at Mimòza two nights in a row! The staff were very hospitable, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was exceptional. Beautiful and fresh, excellent quality and at a good price too!
The first evening we had a meze of tzatziki, Greek salad, courgette balls, grilled sardines, fresh bread and olives. And the second we opted for more tzatziki and Greek salad as well as, king prawn linguine and a prawn risotto! We couldn’t fault it at all.
I would definitely recommend visiting Mimòza whilst in Lixouri. Expect an exquisite menu full of local authentic dishes as well as superb service throughout 🧿
The complimentary frozen yogurt with cherries at the end of our meal, was the sweetest token gesture too.

It is consistently highly rated and on our experience’ eating here twice during our week in Lixouri, with good reason. I in particular visited to get good fresh fish and the Bass on my first visit was excellent, perfectly cooked, leaving the bone cleanly and with ease. The house white is well chosen to complement fish. The boiled mussels on the other visit deserved a more flattering description - essentially moules mariniere. My partner enjoyed the char grilled vegetable salad very much. Service was meticulous and the atmosphere with tables on the street and views from the side to the sea just...
