Thymeli by Theatro Hotel — Restaurant in Meteora Municipality

We stayed here while visiting Meteora and overall had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a balcony with a fantastic view of the cliffs. The A/C worked (no floor fan available as white noise for those who might need it) and the bathroom was stocked with everything we needed, ours came with a jacuzzi tub. The décor is classic and a bit old-world, which fits the setting. Our room also had a balcony view with the Meteora cliffs right in front of you. Overall, not luxury-level but comfortable for the price.

Food & Drink: Thymeli’s restaurant/lounge stood out to us, with seating outside as well as inside. The menu offers a nice mix of Greek specialties, salads, snacks, pizza, pasta, and desserts, plus a solid drink selection from coffee to cocktails. Food is fresh, portions are more than fair, and plating is clean. Dinner wrapped up with complimentary shots of local liqueurs (mastika, tentura, etc.), which was a thoughtful touch. Prices are reasonable considering the setting.

Atmosphere: The pool garden lounge is stylish and relaxing — more like a boutique resort vibe than a typical hotel. It’s a good spot to unwind after a day at the monasteries, and it transitions well from day to night.

Bottom Line: Solid mid-range stay in an unbeatable location with great views, fair A/C, and a surprisingly amazing on-site restaurant. Not over-the-top luxury, but a comfortable, clean base for exploring Meteora and worth planning at least one dinner here for the atmosphere and...

We visited this place because the pictures were different from other places and scores were very good. Well, the atmosphere is really great: music is nice and calm, there are some books, table plays Unfortunately food wasn’t great but average Lamb (recommended by waiter) was quite dry and tough. We came too late for lunch at 2:30pm but had ice cold beers and were able to eat our food from bakery we got before our tour. We highly recommend this place. Lovely, quiet and nice view. Much better than over priced restaurants recommended by the day...
