Overall a sad experience. (Sum up: Sad food, good complimentary starter, but you have to pay for it)
The reason that the restaurants get two stars is because you get to pay for the complimentary food you’re given in the start.
So it’s normal to get a plate of complimentary food before the starter of the main dish, in this case we were given a lovely plate of two slices of bread with some Taziki and some beetroot, and some olive that was very very nice and had a lovely taste.
I questioned why we had been forced to pay these three years per person without having asked for it and then he immediately removed it from the bill and said if you don’t want to pay you don’t need to pay.
Food:
I had the mixed gyrus that I ordered, 2 off the meat pieces were so chewy that I couldn’t eat them, and the french fries on top was so squishy that they were just left on the side of the plate because I didn’t want to eat them. So I give the plate 2/10. (Unfortunately, no picture because we were so disappointed and had to go fast)
My girlfriend had the woman plate, which was explained as being a plate with a mix of all the starters which sounded nice for her because she wasn’t that hungry. But she got very disappointed because the plate consisted of mixes of deep fried things which was to say a little bit disgusting. There was no salad or refreshment on the side. she tasted, and of course she liked half of it, but it was not what she expected.
Of all the service smiles and lovely atmosphere was at a eight out of...

We came here as had seen a few recommendations and fancied fresh fish. We ordered starters but still received the "complimentary" meze which wasn't complimentary, we had to pay for this. Why bring this out when we've ordered a starter?? Really wish we refused this. The mixed starter for €15 is all deep fried which was a real shame, it wasn't enjoyable and we didnt know what we were eating as none of it was explained.
My 2 kids (2 & 4) shared the seabass, which I asked for filleted. It came full of bones, which I had to then remove myself. I had the seafood spaghetti. The prawns were cold, and I had no lemon water to rinse my fingers after peeling them, so I had to go to the bathroom, really bad experience if I'm honest. The spaghetti was overcooked and in small lengths. The prawns tasted gritty. I left it. My husband also said they weren't nice. He had the lamb special which was awful. A plate of bones with nothing but fat.
The family were sat smoking while we were eating.
We were offered a free baklava style dessert, honestly I've had better from the airport.
Then we were told it was cash only.... not great as we had to rush to the ATM.
Would highly recommend the Pink Flamingo for authentic Greek cuisine. Anywhere else really. Wouldn't recommend Mike's and will not...

In June, we spent a week in Crete to enjoy our holiday. By chance, we discovered this place and it turned out to be the best decision! We were welcomed very warmly, and the service was excellent. I wasn’t sure which fish to choose, so the lovely lady took me to the kitchen and showed me all the fresh fish they had caught that day.
Food: We had a delicious appetizer. The olives and the olive oil are homemade from their own production and you can definitely taste the difference! 🫒The main course was the best we’ve ever had. That’s why we immediately booked a second visit, and this time we went for the lobster for two.🦞🦐
Ambience: A quiet and beautiful spot, located close to Sissi Beach.
Price: Considering the quality and freshness of the food, the prices are absolutely fair.
At the end of our stay, we even bought two large jars of olives from their own plantation – absolutely worth it!
We will definitely come back and can truly recommend this place to...
