Probably the best restaurant in Plaka!
We’ve been here a few times during our week’s stay, for dinner one day, a light lunch another, and it’s become our go to place for an afternoon drink.
The food is fresh and delicious. The calamari genuinely fresh, compared to most places here where it’s frozen. Fried in a lovely light batter and it just melts in the mouth.
They have their own fishing boat (two I think) so get a steady supply of fresh fish which they’ll happily show you in the kitchen fridge.
The staff are super friendly. The main guy is really nice, genuinely welcoming, and has a great charm to him. The main waiter is also really nice and helpful.
Finally, this place seems like a proper family-run restaurant and you see them all having food together in the quiet pre-dinner slot.
I’m not sure why it doesn’t have a higher rating - we’ve eaten in five or six of the Plaka places now and are staying in Cayo and this place stands out as...
Read moreWe had 2 evening meals here on Sundays in July without booking. On the first occasion there were just 2 of us and we were shown to a lovely table underneath an old pine tree overlooking the harbour. I had a plate of red mullet and my wife had stifado. Both meals and the house wine were excellent. When we asked for the bill we were given a plate of fresh fruit. The following Sunday we were a party of 4. This time we decided on fresh fish for all of us. We were advised to choose 2 fish so we had a sea bream and a sea bass. They were brought to the table and expertly filleted by a member of the staff. They were served with a selection of vegetables. Again excellent food. We were again given a plate of fresh fruit. On both occasions the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. We are looking forward to visiting here...
