Aria's Grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

This place is a gem. It is located in the small village of Liapades, a short walk through the woods from Rovinia beach. We were starving from swimming and we ordered some delicious fried seafood mix, a beef steak and some amazing wine (the rosé there is delicious, trust me I rarely drink wine).

What struck us the most though was the amazing service and hospitality of our hostess, Eleni. Because we were there at midnight and taxis in the area were scarce, she offered to drive us to our airbnb in the nearby village of Paleokastritsa. The distance was not much but the gesture was grand. I truly felt the meaning of Greek hospitality. She did not even want money for the ride.

Thank you very much Eleni, we will definitely visit your restaurant again if we find ourselves...

Avoid this place like the plague! I’ve not encountered such inhospitable people in Greece before, but rest assured, you’ll find them here.

When we asked for a table of 8 they set up a table as slow as they possibly could without ever acknowledging that there was a table for us. While they were slowly cleaning the table our youngest started crying and the glares we got were clear, we were not welcome here. We also noticed while our daughter was crying how dirty their kitchen and dishwash area was. After sitting down we had a question about the menu and with a very annoyed “I’m coming back” the server left never to return. We did ourselves a favor and left.

Do yourself a favor and try one of the many, welcoming clean restaurants...

Food was fine but service was exceedingly bad and we, along with other tables, waited an awfully long time for food. The server forgot our drink order, then acted annoyed at us when we politely asked about it, never once smiling or acknowledging the error. Then after waiting ages for food, they forgot my salad order - once again, acted annoyed at us and never said oops or sorry. A table near us had to get up and ask when their food would be ready as they had been waiting and had a flight to catch and the server very rudely said “sorry but food takes time to cook” and when they said they had a flight to catch he said “there’s nothing I can do”. Avoid!! - we’ve had much better food elsewhere...
