The great location and the dancing have pushed this up to a four. Great little spot that makes it cosy and unique. The staff are very friendly and want you to enjoy your time there. Come evening, this spot looks pretty with the lights, and they do Greek dancing with the customers. This a very traditional family Taverna and we enjoyed our visit. The food was good although slightly pricey compared to similar restaurants. The service lacked a little, but I think that was down to them being busy and the dancing interrupting the service. But the dancing was entertaining and we did enjoy it. We didn't order starters, but I saw this happen to at least three tables whilst we were there. Not long after getting their starters; their mains arrived. It was if the cooks were concentrating on a table at a time to get their orders out. Another downside is our wait for the bill was incredibly long. I had to ask twice for it. Even after the asking the first time - if a table is waiting with an empty table for 10, 20, 30 minutes, shouldn't they be asked if they want anything else? More drinks, desserts? But no, just left there. So I had to ask for the second time, so felt a bit disappointed at the end, which is a shame. But not to let that spoil what is was a good experience. Great place, staff and food, just the service may get you a...

Warm, Welcoming, and Absolutely Delicious

From the moment we arrived, this family-run gem made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, with a real sense of warmth that only a true family business can provide. The staff treated us like old friends — friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do.

The food? Incredible. The standout for us was the lamb kleftiko — fall-off-the-bone tender, rich with flavor, and beautifully seasoned. Every bite was pure comfort. You can tell a lot of love goes into the cooking here.

And let’s not forget the wine — they plyed us with it in the best way! Generous pours, great selection, and always with a smile.

This place is a true hidden treasure. Come for the food, stay for the hospitality. We’ll absolutely be back — and bringing...

We’ve visited several touristy restaurants during our stay, and while expectations weren’t sky-high, this place stood out for all the wrong reasons.

The food was underwhelming – bland, poorly prepared, and definitely not worth the price. But what really ruined the evening was the staff’s attitude. From the moment we asked for the bill, we were met with open hostility from more than one employee. Their behavior was not just cold, but borderline aggressive.

We don’t expect five-star service in a casual setting, but basic courtesy should be a given. Sadly, this was a thoroughly unpleasant experience, and it left a sour taste in more ways than one. Even among the so-called “tourist traps,” this one ranks at the bottom....

I'm sorry but this restaurant does not perform as a traditional style restaurant. The staff were really helpful when we arrived but soon discovered that food and drink that we chose was no longer available. The food we did choose was bland with no real flavours. However, the most disappointing aspect was that the chef smokes when cooking, his ash falling into the meal he just prepared and he then handles the food with the hand he smokes with. Made me feel sick. Why do restaurants in Greece segregate smokers because the couple next to us managed to eat and chain smoke simultaneously!! Disgusting behaviour! Finally, the restaurant got busy, the 2 staff can't cope and it took 17 minutes to get the bill. How???

Oh Aries Taverna... I never felt so much love for one restaurant. No... I usually find at least one thing I don't like about the place and it can't satisfy me enough. But not Aries Taverna. No, this place is perfect because of its imperfections. The atmosphere here just brings you down to the real Greece 🇬🇷 The food, well, it's way better than I expected. But the feeling. Oh the feeling here, I felt my lost muses coming back to my soul. I felt my puzzle pieces dancing their way back where they belong. This is the feeling Aries gave me. And I would love to show it through pictures but it's impossible.
