Nicest food in Gouvia by far! I rarely write reviews, however me and my friend stayed in Gouvia for 2 weeks-tried a few other places and then tried this place and we then visited everyday onwards! They have fans and Wi-Fi, the food is VERY cheap!! For such good quality! I’m talking €2-€3 for a main meal that properly fills you up! The lemon coke is a must try! Pita gyros is a 10000/10 Tzatziki is simple but lovely Traditional sausage is very good! The potatoes croquettes are not what they sound-they are LOVELY and I highly recommend!! The salad they also come with has a delicious sauce! You get a choice of lots of different breads to have your meal in and then the choice of having everything inside or on the side or a mix of both! All of the meats in bread come with salad, tzatziki and chips inside! Near enough all of them at €2.50!! The waitress is SUPER lovely! She was very welcoming and attentive-chef is the best! Place is almost always packed-or if it’s quiet then it won’t be for long! You can also take away :) Lots of condiments handed to you! Smoking is allowed and...
Read moreI have to say, the food here isn’t the best. While some elements were definitely good, there’s still room for improvement. We tried three different pitas: chicken souvlaki, lamb souvlaki, and pork gyros. The pita bread itself was nothing special. The tzatziki was also very good — garlicky and well-balanced. The tomatoes were fresh and full of flavour. As for the meat, the chicken souvlaki was tender and had a pleasant grilled aroma. However, the lamb souvlaki was extremely chewy, and the pork gyros was quite dry. That being said, the place is always packed with customers, which creates a lively atmosphere. The service — run by a mother and her two children — was...
Read moreAstonishingly Chaotic: The Herd Mentality at a Local Gyros Stand. A bizarre spectacle unfolds as patrons assemble, seemingly awaiting direction like sheep. However, what transpires is anything but organized. The lack of structure is palpable, with patrons given free rein to act as they please. Oddly, even a donkey appears to better grasp the rhythm of the place than its human operators. The absence of a 'zero' rating option is sorely felt, unable to adequately convey the discomfort this place warrants avoiding. Just a short distance away, a more satisfying dining option beckons – where guests are treated with respect, a stark contrast to the impersonal treatment resembling a production line. The Wisest would be to spend both time and money elsewhere, steering clear of this establishment with its ineptitude, domineering attitudes, and...
