Castellino restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

We discovered this restaurant by going on The Grand Island Tour organised by Messonghi Travel Centre, it was our lunch time stop.

This restaurant is located high up on the hillside and you have an amazing view of 'Belle Vista' viewpoint (see images), the images don't do it any justice, you have to be there to see with your own eyes!

When we arrived around 2pm, it was fairly quiet. We were shown a set meal made especially for this tour in which included examples of Greek foods, but as my daughter and I had already tasted what was on the menu and had eaten earlier at our previous stop, we chose something light, Calamari and Greek Salad.

The Calamari was lovely, nice crisp and the squid was cooked perfectly. It came with a pot of minced garlic and a small side of salad. The Greek Salad wasn't how I expected it to be as thy used green onions rather than the usual red onions that other restaurants use. I wasn't a fan if the bread as it didn't seem fresh as the middle was crumbly rather than soft.

The service was excellent, we were asked for our drinks order almost immediately and our food came out to us fairly fast too. The staff were all very polite and friendly.

I will have to visit again for a full meal and maybe I will rate them higher for the food, but if you're there for the views, you won't be...

A hidden gem! We saw this place from the beach and we had no idea it was a restaurant. When we checked it on the map the reviews and pictures didnt at all show how amazing it is. The we passed by everything from paleo and this restaurant is like no other. Starting with the parking that has a great sightseeing spit with a telescope, the glass elevator is an experience on its own! When we arrived to out table the view was just not believable! We arrived at 7:30 pm and the blue hour and sunset were magnificent! The view was so good i didnt care about food until we started eating! Everything is so fresh and delicious! The portions are very good and we were so full we couldnt eat more but we couldnt stop until we finished everything! The staff & owners were extra nice and caring. During our 2 days stay in Paleo we went here. You cant skip it or you are missing on alot during your trip! Would definitely come back whenever...

Avoid!!

Quantity over quality. Like all the other [real] reviews suggest, the portion sizes are enormous, but this seems to be an attempt to distract you from how bad the food is.

I ordered the mix grill. A couple of bit were nice, everything else was either under or over cooked. My gf had swordfish and it was incredibly tough.

We sent both meals back but the waiter / manager only took one off the bill and then tried to claim that he couldn't take the other off because his boss would be angry and that he was going to have to pay for it out of his own pocket, which is nonsense.

In the end we paid €43 for 2 starters, 1 beer and an orange juice, so as the other reviews suggest, its also massively...
