I would have given 5 stars as the view and food were great, BUT there were 2 guys serving. The first one (black hair) was really nice, good English, friendly, have us recommendations on what to eat, what is fresh, had few jokes as well. We really liked the guy, and he made us feel really welcomed there. We got food and after lunch we got an ice cream. When we went to check the flavors and order, there was another guy (grey/white hair) who was very impolite and rude. The flavors were not written in front (as usual in any store), so I kindly asked him to tell us the flavors. He said them very fast, for some he said he does not know and in the end he asked if we remember them all. I laughed and replied, "Not really." Then he said, "That's a problem." I thought it was a joke and replied back, "That's why you are here to help us." And I was waiting for him to say something but nothing. And he was acting irritated we don't know what to choose. It was very awkward, and we felt like we were bothering him. Maybe he wanted to close the restaurant as it was 5 pm, and there were only 3 tables occupied. In the end, we ordered what looked good to us very fast as he was hurrying us. When getting the bill, it was a paper written in Greek with 2 eur extra cost for the bread. When we ordered food, it was written on the menu it includes meat, salad, bread, and potatoes, and the nice guy confirmed it. So, of course, I asked them to delete it because we did not order EXTRA bread. They did it, but the whole experience was ruined by the white-haired guy's attitude and the wrong bill. We wanted to leave them 5 stars and tips as everything started so good, the food and the view are spectacular but they just ruined it! I just left so angry with them! Hope you will change your attitude because it's a pity. This place has so...
Read moreTwo years ago, my girlfriend and I had the most unforgettable experience at Bella Vista in Corfu. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality by Spiros, who works there but treats every guest as if they’re visiting his own home. His kindness made us feel like we were old friends, and that feeling only deepened with every day.
And then there was the food—oh, the food! Each meal we had was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the absolute best of Greek cuisine. Every dish felt like a love letter to Greece itself, with flavors that were so rich and authentic, it was hard to believe we weren’t eating in a local home.
This year, we decided to bring my girlfriend’s parents along, hoping they could share in the experience we’d been raving about for so long. Bella Vista didn’t just live up to our memories—it exceeded them. Spiros’ graciousness made every evening feel special, and the meals were beyond exceptional. We weren’t just guests; we felt like we were part of something bigger—immersed in Greek culture and tradition in the most authentic way possible.
We’ve formed such a wonderful bond with Spiros, and we hope to invite him to the Netherlands someday to show him the same hospitality he showed us. We are counting down the days until we can return to Bella Vista. If you’re looking for a place where you can enjoy the best of Greek cuisine, coupled with heartwarming hospitality, you absolutely must visit Bella Vista. It’s not just a holiday—it’s an experience you’ll...
Read moreThe food was quite average overall. We ordered the moussaka, which was supposed to come with meat, but there wasn’t a single bit of it inside — really disappointing. On the positive side, the cheese with honey was absolutely delicious, though it’s probably hard to go wrong with that dish.
As for the service, the owner (or at least we think he was the owner) didn’t have the best attitude — a bit gruff and not very welcoming, which really affects the overall experience. Another downside was that the best table with the most beautiful view was sticky with something, attracting a lot of wasps, and despite that, nobody from the staff came to clean it during our visit.
That said, the view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning — the balcony area especially is a huge plus and perfect for taking photos. It’s definitely the highlight of the place. One last thing we found a bit disappointing was that bread was added to our bill; we assumed it was a complimentary starter since it was brought to the table without asking.
In summary, the restaurant has an amazing view and some nice touches, but the food quality, service, and attention to detail could really use some...
