Limani Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Horrible customer service in 37° heat. First when we went straight from coach and ordered ice cream to cool down. Me, my hubby and one Son with Downs ( very limited mobility), second with ADHD. The guy came to take order we gave order for ice cream as it was too hot to eat anything before the submarine trip. Another guy came to tell us to go to outside and go to other snack bar to get ice cream and said they only do food. They had enough fans so it was far better then outside other snack bar. We went on yellow submarine. After 50 minutes both boys were really hungry. Tried finding food they like everywhere and my Son could not walk anymore so decided that OK we will go again to Limani just because they had food of our choices and my Son was in no shape to walk any longer. Second time similar attitude from beginning but we were stuck. When ordered Fanta orange, rather then giving us choice gave local fizzy orange for my Son with Downs. When my son with ADHD went to ask about Fanta, the guy was rude and got another bottle of local fizzy orange. We tried asking no Fanta? He said this is orange and asking us rudely "problem". You want this ? We ordered our food as we knew we can not go anywhere else, we were helpless due to our Son's disability. My Son with ADHD got up few times to go toilet, wash his hands and when he got up to get some air from one of the fans, the same guy talked to him rudely to sit down. We asked few times for table where fan comes or turn the ceiling fan on but they said no. Last stroke was when he was rude to my Son who has ADHD who can not help his fidgeting, specially in heat. He even get movement break in big exams. We all got up told them to give us bill for drinks and forget the food as they have not been nice rather rude to us too many times. We were going out to pay bill and food came. Our Indian tradition is not to walk out on food, so we sat had little bit of food and went out. We couldn't figure out the reason for their attitude either not disabled or ethnicity friendly. Not recommended by us four, even my Son with limited vocabulary said bad attitude, ...

I'm giving this place two stars mainly due to the spectacular views. The service was non existent. I served myself water from the fridge after waiting 15 minutes without being acknowledged. The waiter / owner could have at least said hello, got us a table with menus and asked us for drinks. He spent most of the time in the kitchen and riding to other people's tables. It wouldn't kill him to put some bread on the table to start. The food when it did arrive was average although we liked the bread once it arrived 30 minutes after we sat down. Otherwise the food was rather expensive for what we received. I can only rate this taverna as "basic" from the food that was served to us (lamb kleftiko looked a boiled bag of mess and tasted like a watery grave). The rest of the food was basic - spaghetti bolognese for the kids, which you can't go wrong with. Luckily we weren't sat next to the edge where the views were, due to the swarm of bees buzzing around guests plates. I'm not kidding. It was like a hive. The owner resolved this by putting out a plate emitting smoke which warded of the bees but also wafted the fumes to our table. Overall a poor experience of what was one of the highlights of visiting...

Warm welcome on a beautiful terras. There is a lot of choice on the menu. Friendly waiter.

So much for the positive feedback. We all ordered meat because the delicious smell of the grill is noticable from far away and it lured us inside.

We ordered 2 times tournedos, 1 grilled steak and 1 chicken kebab. No way the piece of meat we got was a tournedos and you can notice the meat was handled to change (soften) the texture. Definitely not a fresh piece of meat.

Beside that we ordered it rare, and ofcourse it's hard to grill a thin slice of meat rare (bleu). So also there we felt put down about the cuison.

The piece of meat only came with fries, rice and sauce. (A little tip, don't put the sauce directly on the meat) €28? You got to be kidding me. Way overpriced.
