It was our last night in Corfu, so we decided to make it special. Because we didn’t get a table outside the previous nights, we decided to give it a try once more as the restaurant had very good reviews.
And then a very unpleasant evening started… It was surely special and we will remember it, but not in a positive way…
We were seated outside. We started off with some dips and bread. We chose a Greek white wine, which was ok. Then the starters and salads were brought. For an Italian restaurant, they were pretty mediocre. The worst part started when the pasta was brought. I ordered the home-made tagliatelle with shrimps and crougette. The pasta didn’t taste like fresh egg pasta. Moreover, it was totally overcooked and pretty tasteless. No salt, greasy olive sauce, overcooked shrimps. None of us four could eat the pasta we ordered, because it just didn’t meet our expectations. When we told the waiter that we couldn’t eat the pasta and we want to pay the bill, he collected the plates with the pasta meals and brought us the bill with all items on it. Then we started a discussion with the waiter and the restaurant owner, who was very rude and unpleasant to talk to. Eventually, they removed the pasta dishes from the bill, but we had a very bad experience altogether…
If you want to have a nice evening at an Italian restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine, avoid this one...
Read moreTruly a gem! We visited the place on a late August night (23:45) after a local friend’s recommendation. Although the kitchen was nearly closing and place was packed they happily prepared a table for our large group of 12 friends.
The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The places reminded of some of the most lovely Italian restaurant but still with its own lively local character.
We had a big variety of their dishes, starters, salads and main courses. We loved everything and had a fabulous night leaving very late (1:30). One of their best dishes was the mushroom tagliolini (don’t forget to add some Parmesan) and the wine scallops. Caprese salad wasn’t as good as the other dishes. Also a great dish was the octopus carpaccio.
A must visit!
We tried a lot...
Read moreNot my cup of tea. The restaurant lacks character and the waiters could improve overall. It took a long time for the food to arrive and the moment i put my fork down they took our plates. We didn’t got a glass for our drinks and they serve spaghetti with knife and fork. After the meal we didn’t get any attention and waited out the clock to pay our bill.
The menu seems very nice but the meal doesn’t live up to expectations. Spaghetti with onion, bacon and chili pepper had no onion and two half sun-dried chili peppers and normal amount of bacon.
Two main meals, two drinks and bread was 32 bucks.
The area is very nice but this place is located all the way at the border of...
