Lovely place with great food. We had mezzes and a dessert. We weren't sure if the mezzes would be enough, but we needn't have worried. We struggled to finish all of it. We ordered fried shrimps, fried cheese (saganaki), wild vegetables, taramosalata, and octopus croquettes. The shrimps were lightly coated with flour or a batter and deep fried. They had lots of flavour and we received a serious pile of them. We struggled to finish all of them. The cheese also looked to be deep fried, because it had a very crispy cheesy exterior. It's not the first thing you'd pick from the menu when you read it, but I can highly recommend it. It's cheesy and crispy, simply great. The octopus croquettes were kind of mediocre, even though the accompanying tzatziki was nice. Then the taramosalata. This spread, which contains fish roe (among other things), had the consistency of hummus. It tastes of fresh fish and was nice with the crunchy bread. These mezzes, which are called appetizers on the menu, are really meant to be shared with each other. The portion size for the shrimps, for example, was huge for an entree. Also, sharing is more fun. After struggling to finish all of this, we just had to engage our dessert stomachs for the lemon cake. Still, we had to share it. It did not disappoint. The cake was very dense and rich and served with ice cream. A tasty way to end a good meal! Highly...
Read moreAbsolutely dreadful experience. Our evening was completely ruined by the disjointed arrival of our food and the rude behavior of the owners' family. This has been by far the worst restaurant experience I've encountered worldwide. I cannot recommend this place at all. The quality of the food was mediocre at best. Despite requesting a recommended seafood dish from the owner, I was shocked to find that this resulted in a 35 euro charge for an inedible fish on the bill. When we inquired about this, the owner's daughter dismissively pointed out that we should have checked the menu. Her tone and attitude were extremely disrespectful when addressing my mother. To add insult to injury, she insisted that we vacate the table immediately to accommodate other guests, showing no intention to resolve the situation amicably. We ended up paying the full amount to our waiter, although I doubt he received the tip we left. The entire family left the restaurant with a sour taste, as this unfortunate experience marred what should have been a pleasant evening. Our family outing (on a vacation) was completely ruined. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Not...
Read moreOverall: Service is good, people are polite, starters were delicious and wine is nice, main dishes were mediocre and the sea food is not that flavorful and delicious.
Pros: Good service, waiters are very polite and helpful. The starters - spicy feta cheese, the fried feta cheese and the eggplant were all nice. The wine was fruity and good for the money.
Cons: At the beginning the manager was slightly too rude. The main dishes were definitely not as good as anticipated. We ordered the fisherman pasta, which had mussels, shrimps and calamari. The sea food was not that fresh and most of all, for me especially, was the pasta slightly too dry and tasteless. It hadn't any of the flavour of the sea food and therefore I would not recommend it again.
The place has a nice atmosphere and staff is good but the food and especially the sea food does not impress that much.
I would probably not come back if I have...
