Found this restaurant after a recommendation from Kmara sudios. Tucked away from the crowds. Lovely atmosphere, we even enjoyed the rugged graffiti on the surrounding buildings giving it a rugged urban feel. The food (the lamb shank very good!) was good better than the simple menu suggested, the menu might have lost something in translation to English I don’t know. It was a quiet Tuesday night so no pressure in the team, so the service was excellent our waiter very attentive. It helped that we met some great company (Hi Tom) and chatted the night away, it was midnight we were the last people there and at no point did we feel rushed.
Being in hospitality ourselves we understand where some of the negative reviews come from, they have not been open long and are finding their feet so please be patient.
We would definitely visit...

Unprepared for the sheer size of the portions, we battled happily through course after course, our bulging waistbands begging for it to stop. The portions were large enough to make the very reasonable price tag seem overly generous.
The service was attentive but not overbearing with any requests being met with a pleasant of course. The atmosphere meant you knew it was a restaurant happily frequented by locals, which is always a great sign of quality.
The only demerit was the apparent lack of any soft drinks listed on the drinks menu but as we were either underage or driving, it was no great issue.
A place to definitely sample on other...
Read moreThis restaurant is a must if you’re in Corfu! My sister and I went to Fortezza Nuova for dinner. Our waiter Spiros was so lovely! He recommended a great local wine which we both loved. We had the mushroom dish and zucchini balls as an entree and the special dish (shrimp pappardelle pasta) for our main. Everything was delicious! We also had the chocolate millefeuille for dessert which was the perfect way to finish our dinner. The atmosphere at the restaurant is very peaceful and serene. While we had dinner, there was actually a choir practicing in one of the nearby houses. I can’t promise that’ll happen if dining here but it was so nice and really added to the dining experience. Shout out again to Spiros!
