To be honest as a Greek I was left very very disappointed. I’ve never left a review in my life, but this time I had to do it, since I loved Corfu a lot and it had been a while since I last visited the island. So we sat down and I’ve got to say the service was very polite and friendly. However the food was not what I expected. We ordered a Greek salad, one cheese called saganaki, and traditional food called pastitsada, a chicken skewer, and a cheese dip. Starting with the salad, I’ve got to say it was very very bad, tomatoes were not good as well as the rest of the vegetables. The saganki was decent not great. The chicken skewer was the only thing that was enjoyable while eating, and the traditional pastitsada which apparently we were told that they make its over 20 years, was very very bad. The pasta was pre cooked, the sauce not something special and the meat mid. Both main dishes were 100% microwaved. Other than that something that made me write a review was the fact that there where two people on the table next to us, and they orders one calamari fried and one tzatziki dip. I saw the waiter touching the calamari with his hands multiple times to see if it is cold or not , stating that fact that the food was microwaved. To be honest I would recommend people to visit the restaurant for a drink or coffee since it has a more pleasant vibe for a drink...
Read moreUpon seeing the stunning photos and high ratings of Restaurant Paradosiakon, we were excited to give it a try. The ambience seemed inviting, and the promise of authentic Greek cuisine lured us in.
However, our experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The food itself was mediocre—neither bad nor exceptionally good. What caught us off guard were the almost €15 we were charged for a basket of pita bread. It seemed a bit excessive for what we got.
The restaurant recommended we try their Moussaka, which, to our surprise, was prepared with cloves. Typically found in baked goods, the cloves gave the dish a jarring, off-putting flavor that didn’t work for us.
Additionally, while the calamari looked visually appealing, we were disappointed to find it hadn’t been cleaned properly on the inside.
In summary, Restaurant Paradosiakon might be an option if other establishments are fully booked, but it wouldn’t be our first choice. If you do decide to dine here, be cautious when ordering the Moussaka and double-check your bill for...
Read moreTo begin with what was good: the staff was welcoming, the food came relatively quick and the appetizez was good. I should mention that the prices for drinks are high compared to other restaurants in that area. You should be aware that they try to talk you into ordering more side dishes like pita and tzatziki which wasn't a big deal for us. However when it comes to the main dishes we weren't happy at all. The meat on the chicken souvlakie was chewy and fatty (couldn't even tell if it was properly cooked through) and in the chicken gyros where small pieces of bones. Because of that we couldn't eat much of the meat. The sides (fries and potatoes) were ok. When we were asked if everything was ok, we told them about the problems with the food. The response was " you should know we serve food for more than 20 years and never had problems" . We still had to pay the full price and didn't even get a "sorry". That response was just blaming a customer. I don't think that this was the right way to handle such a situation...
