Yesterday we visited the - especially for its pizza dough - much-praised pizzeria A Manos in Corfu Town. We managed to get hold of a small table in the outdoor area and were immediately welcomed and served in a very friendly manner. Framed by Mutti tins of all sizes in which the restaurant grows fresh herbs, so to speak directly "at the guest", we decided on mussels as a starter. The mussels were served quickly with freshly toasted bread, were of first-class quality, steamed to perfection and very tasty - my compliments. For the main course, we had - how could it be otherwise - pizza, of course. In my case a Capricciosa, for our daughter we had a classic Pizza Margherita with double cheese and my wife liked the mussels so much that she went for pasta with seafood again. As expected, the pasta was also great - the pizzas at A Manos are already "croccante" - a little less dark would have been ideal for us. Taste-wise, the pizzas were impeccable, freshly topped, a great cheese and the dough really worth mentioning. The dough at A Manos is deliberately a little less salty, because as I'm sure you all know, you can always add more salt - the other way round it's difficult...😉 For dessert we had both a tiramisu and a panna cotta with strawberry sauce - both very tasty, especially not too sweet, i.e. well-balanced and with a good consistency. At the end, the chef came to our table and asked if everything was as we wanted it - a very obliging and friendly gesture! Afterwards, we had a tiny liqueur from two mega-bottles - not for me, of course, because I was "the driver"... The prices were accurate and completely justified by the quality of the food. A clear recommendation for Pizzeria A Mano - I hope you enjoy feasting on the Italian delicacies! I'm pleased if you liked my review and if you follow me on my Google Maps profile, thank you and see you soon.

We went to this restaurant yesterday, because of the many positive reviews, but to be honest we can not believe that these are all real, especially those from italian people. We ordered our food and got the starter fast. It was garlic focaccia which was very hard and dry. Next my Pasta Napoli came and it took very long time until my husbands Pizza Quattro Formaggi has been brought. So my food was already cold when his came. The Pasta is way to thick and there were no spices or herbs we could taste. Just smashed tomatos with low quality Pasta. And the worst thing the Pizza was made Without tomato sauce just a dry dough and cheese plus burned parts. But the worst was the following: It started to rain and there were a lot of free Tables. Since we obviously didn't want to sit in the rain, we went to one of the free tables where the roof was sufficient to keep out the rain. An angry waitress came out and shouted loudly: "No, not here!" and took our things away again without explaining anything to us. I understand if tables should be kept free for larger groups of people, for example, but this type of communication is absolutely unacceptable. We definitely won't be coming back and we advise everyone not to visit this restaurant.

So we went there today for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! Im half Italian and been brought up on Italian food and the food here is so authentic! I loved every single bite. We had the Anti Pasti to start and then the Ortolana pizza. The coffee is also very good quality! We have been in Corfu for a week and eaten at our hotel everyday and I havent enjoyed one meal. This resturant has made up for my whole week of dissapointed food! I wish I came to corfu town before our last day because I would have come back just to eat there again! They played Italian music I listen to at home with my family and the staff there are so friendly! Nothing is too much trouble and they are lovely to talk to. Very attentive and very smiley! Lovely lovely place. Hopefully they move to England so I can eat there again and more often!

I try not to give bad reviews online but this one I had to. Absolutely rude owner of the place. Food is a combination of experience and the owner here treats people like a transaction. I will never go back to the place. So here is the full story: The table was booked for 9pm and I had reached at 9:30pm as no parking was available in the area & had to wait to find a parking. I was with my family (wife, son and a 5 year old daughter). First thing we get is the owner shouting at me. I requested if we can stll take the place and the staff suggested us a place. The staff was polite. After that initial episode, the owner came 3 times more to stick it into us when we ordered food (2 pizzas, a pasta & drinks - never get to order the dessert which we had elsewhere), then after he came to us for to explain how generous he was to keep a table and lastly at 10:25pm when my 5 year old was finishing her food when he mentioned that the table need to be freed at 10:30. We had to leave and my 5 yr old daughter did not get to finish her dinner. Lastly, the pasta arabiatta we ordered was very very spicy (and me and my family can handle some spices) - seems to be made on purpose to drive us away. So my suggestion to the owner is, if you do not want to accept people who make reservations and can potentially run late due to the parking issues, please tell them politely upfront that the table has been given away. Please do not make them sit and then treat them...
