We stopped for lunch at this smart cafe part way up to the fortress in Corfu Old Town. Its tucked away just above the beautiful acropolis. Surprisingly, from its position, it had wonderful views with ample seating under shady pergolas, and inside We ordered a chicken club sandwich to share and it was huge, fresh and beautifully presented. A very welcome oasis on a hot climb.

Las vistas, relajantes y bellísimas -con esa banda sonora en bucle a cargo de las cigarras- permiten esta valoración y no otra peor: me senté (cansado -tengo Parkinson- por el intenso callejeo en la siempre hermosa Corfu, y por las acaloradas cuestas de la propia Fortaleza) en la terraza -tres mesas ocupadas, de veinte o 25 totales- mientras mi esposa pedía en la barra. La lentitud en el servicio (cerca de 20 minutos para un café con leche, un agua y un helado) provocó que, otro camarero que bien podía estar atendiendo para aligerar, me llamara la atención (por estar sentado sin...consumir). Le contesté lo obvio: sentado espero... El camarero insistió antipático y borde, y una buena señora de una mesa vecina le recriminó: "¿no escuchas...?, está esperando que su esposa venga con lo que deberías traer tú..." Llegada mi esposa, café con leche, agua fresca, helado y vistas. Ni pregunté el precio. (23.05.24)

This caffee restaurant just does not do justice to this place. The old venetian fortress for the sake of history and the people visiting this place in the hot august sun I just feel they deserve much more. My glass was unwashed had some lemon and chocolate sauce on it, it was very old and used. The toilets not well maintained.The owners are just leaving a lot of money on the table with this place which is not offering a...

Food was nice. But we got more chips than the actual chicken sandwich that we ordered. Staff made a mistake and only charged us for drinks so I said I also needed to pay for our food, the woman was incredibly rude saying I could have told her earlier . Wish I hadn't mentioned anything, you wouldn't think we were giving them money! Staff are very slow to serve aswell, but a very nice location and...
